We are moving! My daughter has been requesting a pink, purple and black room for as long as I can remember. I am looking for a good, girly pink that will work now and in 5+ years (hopefully) We don't like to redecorate a lot. But, for the new house, we are willing to do it.

I know it's a nursery, but I love the soft pale pink, if I'd of had a girl I wanted to do this nursery!

I rented a room post-college that was watermelon pink. I got used to it and actually loved it 
But it was a small room and I had all-white bedding to tone it down a bit!

My big girls have Farrow & Ball Calamine.
Our nursery is BM Majestic Mauve.
I'm working on DD1's big girl room right now and planning on FB Brassica.

You can also do subtle touches of color throughout the room, but keep the walls white. Maybe paint the window frame a pink/purple, or throw up a pretty window cover. Then it's somewhat easy to change things out as your daughter gets older and her tastes change.

If you decide to go purple/gray SW Destiny is awesomely subtle and a great grow-with-them color. No advice on pinks, though.

We just did BM Paisley Pink for both girls' rooms, and it's the perfect pale that will grow with them.
