LO is 2.5 and is obsessed with pirates. Does your LO have a favorite pirate themed toy? What do you recommend?

I'm a HUGE fan of playmobil. They have a great collection of pirate stuff. As long as your take away the smaller trinkets he will be fine to play with the big stuff. My son has that Bucky ship, he plays with it just like he does with his cars and trucks.
What about some things for dressing up, like a pirate hat, eye patch, etc?

Liam loves his lego duplo bucky ship (Jake). He has the capt hook ship, not lego, and he never plays with it. Oh and yes definitely to the dress up stuff! He plays with his foam sword almost every day. He also has a hat, eye patch, gold doubloons, and periscope.

Alexis has the FP Little People Pirate Ship and she loves it!

@looch: Does he have the musical one or the one w/o batteries? She has a foam pirate sword from a local zoo (not Jake) and a few eye patches. She doesn't know how to wear it correctly and it's just way too cute when she's closing both her eyes and saying, "arrrrr!"

@travelingnanny: agree with the Playmobil! DS got a Playmobil pirate ship for Christmas and it goes in the bathtub. I hate bath toys, but it has been a big success. They have a lot of other pirate themed sets.

Another vote for Playmobil! They make great, sturdy toys that appeal to a range of ages. My toddler loves them and I had them as a kid and played with them until I was 8/9.
