Could you please recommend your favorite recipe sites? I haven't cooked since LO arrived and am itching to get back into the kitchen!

I love pretty much everything from cook's illustrated & cooks country. They have a great archive online & it's totally worth the subscription!

@mrs. bird: i love cook's illustrated. i used to have a subscription, and i'm debating whether i should start it up again.

in addition to the others mentioned, I like Myrecipes.com
It is a collection of recipes from magazines like Cooking Light, Southern Living, Sunset, etc. It also has reviews and instructional videos and all that fun stuff. My go-to!

Food Network (.ca and .com - they have different recipies on each), Pinterest, allrecipies

@caffeinated: my mom used to give me a subscription, but then i did the online one & it's awesome to be able to just look EVERYTHING up! i even used it when i was doing my wedding registry to pick out all my kitchen stuff based on their reviews. i can't say enough good things about them. i've never tried one of their recipes & been disappointed, until martha stewart! maybe i just can't make her stuff, but it always comes out yucky!

Budget Bytes! Everything I have made from there is delicious, and she's made it and tested it so you know the kinks are worked out. I also offer another vote for MyRecipes.

I also like thepioneerwoman.com. Other than that, I get stuff from pinterest pretty often! Or just google.

Skinnytaste.com
Though lately almost everything I've made comes from Woman's Day magazine since they have a nice calendar with meals for the entire month so I don't have to do much meal planning and the recipes are usually pretty good and quick. They have everything online too, so you don't need to actually buy the magazine.

Most of the stuff I try is from SkinnyTaste.com, but I also like http://www.preventionrd.com - she includes nutritional facts, which I find helpful.
http://www.foodgawker.com is also good to look for stuff, but I don't find a lot of healthy recipes on there.

I love gojee.com! They have beautiful pictures and the recipes will link you to new blogs you might like. Plus you can search by whatever ingredients you have on hand.

I get a lot of ideas from:
momswhothink.com/dinner-recipes
some are really unhealthy so I twist them a little or add salad to the meal.

@teaberry: I never thought of checking williams-sonoma for recipes, good idea! I just found a pork and pumpkin stew...yum.

Ha. Pinterest. I can usually count on Pinterest to be full of not intimidating, semi-white-trashy food... Velveeta, frozen chicken breasts, and boxed cake batter are all riiiiight up my alley (though, not in the same recipe, hopefully...).

@HeatherlovesKenny: I know, I forget how I stumbled on their recipe section too! I like it for basics and comfort food

@ms.janedoe: Not to go off-topic, but that combination reminds me of Rachel's trifle from Friends

I was going to use good ol' Paint to get my face in there, but then realized I'm far too lazy. </endthreadjack>
