I was sick all weekend and basically watched tv non-stop! Saw for the first time fixer upper. I'm obsessed and want to move to Texas so chip and Joanna can find me a fixer upper! love it or list it annoys me to no end!

@HLK208: did you see that a viewer (who is a nurse) noticed a lump on tarek's neck and wrote an email to the production company to tell him to get it checked out. Turns out he had thyroid cancer!
Again, I had way too much time to binge watch TV and surf the internet this weekend.

I love: Love It or List It, Property Brothers, Brother vs. Brother, and Flip or Flop! Love It or List It Too is also decent, and I'll watch Income Property and Buying and Selling if I'm bored.

@fussygal: Yes - The show title logo, the open animation, the bumpers (leading out to the commercial and leading back into the show), those info graphics, show title logo bug, lowerthirds ...etc. Some of the graphics I wasn't really happy about, but the show was a Canada show and it comes with pre-existing graphics and I have to make things to cover the original graphics up. Haha, I have no idea what those things are either until I got into the business...
@NCSUchick27: haha I see... the one thing that annoys me is they found 3 houses, but 2 of them are absolutely ridiculous while the last one is OK. So they really don't give the home owners any choice. I would have fired my agent if they did that to me! I thought the hosts (even scripted) were funny though. And I do like how they do pull a pretty nice makeover everytime with very small budgets. Everytime I watched it with DH and we were like, they paid that little $ for so many things? How come we paid so much $ for only our master bathroom remodel??

Fixer Upper. I caught that one weekend when I was at my parents and got hooked. I love Rehab Addict. When she was crying about a demolition of an old house, I knew that there's some sincerity to the show and her passion.
My brother's old house was featured on an episode of House Hunters. It was already purchased at that point, but that's typical of the production if you look through the blogs about the behind the scenes.

My DH and I love Hawaii Life on HGTV. We hope one day to be a family that drops everything in the midwest to live in Hawaii.

I got kinda bored of all the older existing shows... I was watching this show about people that bid on houses and flip them, it was interesting!

@brady80: I am obsessed with her! I even had it in my head that we needed an older home when we were house hunting. Except, I forgot the part that we wouldn't have Nicole helping us fix it up..
DH thought I was crazy! We ended up getting a 1960s home, that still needed quite a bit of work!

Does anyone know if the HGTV shows that do home remodels include all of the new home furnishings in the quoted remodel price???
