I was just thinking tonight about how much I loved the song "Life in Mono," which I heard for the first time when I saw "Great Expectations." (You have to turn the volume up, or it's just not worth listening to.)
Ah, back when Gwyneth was 26 and Ethan Hawker could still play a romantic lead. I miss the 90s!

I love the music from Chariots of Fire, and Pride and Prejudice.
I also have the soundtracks from Chronicles of Narnia, Sound of Music, Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom of the Opera, Madagascar, and Stardust.

I think Last of the Mohicans has to be my favorite soundtrack. Although I now have a special place in my heart for the Harry Potter soundtrack, too - I've always liked the music, but when we were on our honeymoon and a hurricane hit, I had to put on my iPod and drown out the wind and rain in order to fall asleep, and Harry Potter was the only music that worked!

But if you're talking about real music, and not soundtracks, I think the first song I can remember being obsessed with was not from a movie but from The O.C. I heard "Lack of Color" by Death Cab for Cutie and I was gone. I've been an obsessive Death Cab fan since.

And then as far as actual songs featured in movies, I fell in love with "Call" by Regina Spektor which was in a Narnia movie, and now she's one of my favorite artists.

I was totally obsessed with the soundtrack from Romeo + Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann, especially "Kissing You (Love Theme from Romeo + Juliet" by Des'ree. When I was in high school I would drive around and play this song on repeat and just bawl!
