...especially for set in stains?
As LO gets older and more independent so does the pile of clothes that come out of the wash with stains still on them. Or am I just out of luck?

When I have a really set-in stain or grease, soaking in Oxyclean does the trick every time. I spray the stain with Oxyclean's spray, rub the fabric together to really let it soak in, then put it in our utility sink with the powder Oxyclean and warm water for an hour. I then wash it, and the stain comes right out. Doesn't mater if it's been washed before or not.

Yeah i'm an oxyclean fan, too! i have a set in chocolate stain I'm currently fighting, though!
If the stain is organic, i've had good luck setting her clothes out in the sun!

@2PeasinaPod: @blackbird: Great! I will grab some Oxyclean when I'm at the store. Do you have any trouble using it with colored clothes?

I have heard recently that club soda can help, too?! I've tried it once and was successful. How it would work again? I'm not sure! haha

I recently tried a popular Pinterest recipe of 2 parts hydrogen peroxide to 1 part each of baking soda and dawn dish soap and had decent results for smaller spots. Dip the stained area in the mixture, rub in with a toothbrush, let it sit for an hour, then wash as usual.

@BadgerMom: Never. I know one particular instance where I was draining grease from a pan and the whole thing spilled all over one of my absolute favorite shirts. I was so upset, but did the above, and it came right out, kept the color and the shape.

@just_ju: Thanks! I saw that too. I need to try it. I think it heard it was especially good for things like pit stains and DH's greasy pillow case. Maybe I'll make him do it...
@2PeasinaPod: Awesome, thanks.

Another vote for oxyclean! I've only had one stain I couldn't get out. If it's already been through the dryer or is stubborn I get the item damp with hot water and make an oxyclean paste and let it sit for a while. It's magic.
