@lawbee11: no groupon. Just went to Atkinson Farms off Sprin Cypress. We went about 4, and it was too hot for DD, so it was quick, but she had a great time.

My grandparents had a large strawberry patch and they would smash them and add sugar and eat them like strawberry soup. They'd freeze it so you could have some anytime. So good!

I love plain old strawberries with cool whip.
@Mrs. Jump Rope: Not sure if I am thinking of the same thing...in Delaware, my SO's family calls it pretzel surprise--mixture of pretzels, hello, strawberries and cool whip. They have it at every gathering. I don't know how I lived 22 years of my life without that amazing dessert!

Make strawberry balsamic jam! Even the super easy freezer kind! Just follow the directions and add some balsamic vinegar!

Strawberry shortcake -
I marinate strawberries in a couple tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, a teaspoon of white sugar, and a pinch of fresh black pepper for a couple hours then serve over ice cream. It's amazing, and easy!

Not so much a recipe, but I discovered the tastiest snack: spread peanut butter on a piece of bread, then place strawberry slices on top of the peanut butter. Much better (and healthier!) than strawberry jam!

This cake is SO GOOD, and I thought it was pretty easy. My family devoured it at Christmas, and they usually aren't big on dessert. It would be even better with strawberries that are in season.

I, also, plan in making some strawberry and Nutella crapes today. Costco had pre-made crepes!

@bluestriped bee: I love making the two ingredient pancakes that are from the blog (1 banana and 2 eggs). They come out thin like crepes and have just enough banana flavor that they are perfect for Nutella and strawberries!
