We loved the Summer Infant velcro swaddles. The velcro did start to wear out, so we needed to rotate through a few of them. On cold nights I would add an extra swaddle layer w/ an Aden and Anais blanket on top (mostly for warmth, not containment). We stopped swaddling DD at 3.5 months when she was showing signs of getting very angry at her swaddle. She never really liked being swaddled though... I know lots of moms who swaddled for a lot longer. In our case, DD slept through the night starting as soon as we stopped swaddling her.

I only swaddled LO for a month and we liked the 47x47 AA blankets.

We swaddled for 6 months and just used A+A blankets. When she learned how to break out of a traditional swaddle, we started the double swaddle.

C loved swaddling. We quit when she learned to roll over while swaddled.

We use a Kushies swaddler at night (suuuuper soft!) and the Summer infant ones during the day. We have a miracle blanket too

we use swaddleme blankets exclusively! we swaddle lo with one arm out and one arm in and he stays nice and snug all night

K hates being swaddled! After balking at the price of the Miracle Blanket, I finally broke down and bought one. It's the only one she hasn't been able to break out of and I went out and bought a 2nd one! Besides that, I like the A&A large swaddle blankets. I can swaddle her in those too if she's already asleep.
The Summer SwaddleMe and Halo Sleep Sacks just make her MAD! We had one swaddlepod too and that was awful. But this is just my LO - who fights the swaddle like a mad lady!

We use miracle blanket. We thought she hated being swaddled because she always broke free from a+a swaddles but in the miracle blanket she stays in and sleeps so much better.

DD broke out of the miracle blanket, woombie was too tight on her neck (didn't realize that was such a common problem) , she broke out of an a&a swaddle and mashed it into her mouth, then we got the Velcro halo and she flipped onto her belly. Swaddling was just not for her. We quit trying when she was three weeks old.

Loved the miracle blanket! LO was born in October so by jan, we doubled layered the miracle blanket with an A&a blanket for warmth.

I used the sorts that were a sack with wings that just wrapped around and velcroed closed. So useful! I miss those days, with a tiny swaddled baby!

We tried the a+a blankets, halo swaddle sleepsack, swaddle me, and woombie. The only one that works is the Miracle Blanket. He cannot even be able to remotely move his arms or he will detect there's a chance of getting out and will keep himself up trying to wiggle out, growing more and more pissed. Sometimes he hates getting trussed up in the MB but once he's in he falls asleep so much faster and stays contained and asleep. It seems complicated but it's really simple and it takes me like 10 seconds now (though DH sucks at it).

Can't speak to weaning since he's 11 weeks and still has to be swaddled. He has major Pinocchio arms and has been obsessed with inhaling his fist, but isn't good enough at it yet for it to soothe himself -- it just keeps him awake lol.

My first loved the A+A blankets and stopped needing to be swaddled around 4 months (even though he was not yet rolling over at that point it stopped helping him sleep). My younger babe is all about the miracle blanket. So yes all babies are different...

I LURVE good ol A&A 47x47s. But it took a while to get good at swaddling with them!
