My 11 mo is currently working on ALL THE THINGS! Walking, babbling, figuring out crawling up steps, stacking, recognizing songs, you name it. She is just the most joyful baby and her face when she figures something out is just priceless

Lo1 is almost 4 and her memory for books and songs is unbelievable. And she’s starting to be able to problem solve/work together with friends in such a beautiful way. She and her bestie were taking turns during drop off yesterday so sweetly and cooperatively I couldn’t even believe it

Eta thank you for starting this thread! I need to focus more on the positives like this

I've become a total sap the past year about my kids. They are 2.5 and 4.5, and I think they just grow so fast and the time just flies, so I actually really appreciate every stage. I didn't feel that way as a new mom when LO1 was <1, but ever since having LO2, it's like I've realized how fast life is going and I basically love my kids so much, I would crawl right up inside their skin if I could. Sorry if that's weird.

LO1: She's amazing. She's so smart and inquisitive and outgoing and such a little mommy. She's a great little artist and loves to sing and dance and I love all of it.

LO2: She's really spirited but also the best cuddler. She's just very emotive in general, so she's the happiest, funniest little girl when she isn't in a super sour mood, tantrumming on the floor. She gives AMAZING tight hugs right around my neck and she has an infectious laugh. I love how she is talking a ton now, but it scares me how often she mimics me. Like something I'll tell her one day...the next, I'll hear her tell to a friend or her big sis. I also love that she still has some baby chub.

For both of them, the cutest funniest thing lately is that before they take a bath, they insist on a "nekkid dance", where we have to put one of their favorite songs on Alexa, and they dance like crazy with no clothes on. And I emphasize the crazy part--like truly wild, carefree dancing. It's quite a sight and I love it.

LO is almost 3. Watching her imagination at work, I just think it is so cool, I could watch her play imaginatively all day!

DD is almost two, her language is increasing daily and is so amazing to listen to her tiny voice say things like delicious or impossible or sunscreen

DS is 16 months and its heartwarming to see him start to really understand things I say. He is also really good at basic baby sign thanks to the daycare so communication is so much better now
DD is 5 and so good at being a big sister, watching them together is amazing

Age 2 (on Saturday!): At 22m he finally learned how to say "Mama" and often calls me "mom-mom" which is adorable. He RUNS to me after work. He is starting to say please and his face LIGHTS UP when it is time to nurse.

DS is 26 months and he’s just awesome. He talks SO MUCH and it’s adorable! When something fun is about to happen he says “I SO excited!!!” He also says “missed you mama” while he cuddles into me after we get home from work and daycare. Heartmelting. He’s just so creative and funny and sweet and cute hahaha

Oh, also, we just discovered in the last week or so that she can dress herself! She loves to do it and if you lay out stretchy pants and a shirt she can usually do it herself.

Her favorite things involve helping, so these days toys are put away for the most part and she spends her days doing dishes, "folding" laundry and putting it away, cleaning the floor and counters, feeding the ponies and goats, etc. It's really fun and keeps her so much more engaged than her toys do.

My son is almost four and makes connections all the time. I mentioned that our neighbor moved to Long Island, which he had never heard of before. He paused and then said, "Long Island. Is it in the ocean?"

This week I showed him ultrasound images of my pregnancy. The next morning he asked if the doctor had taken the babies out of my belly to take the pictures.

DS is 3 and I frankly love how affectionate he is. He still doesn't talk much, but one of his frequent phrases is 'Love [you] Mom' and he gives a little hug or smashes cheeks. So adorable.

DD is 10 months and on the cusp of walking. I love her welcome home where she crawls as quickly as possible to me or waves her hands wildly in her high chair till I come get her
