Cycle Day: 18
TTC Cycle: 2
Ovulation Date: Tomorrow, I hope!
POAS Date: Feb 7th, if I can wait that long
Baby #: 1
What's up this month: OPKs (stressful) and temping (also stressful) for the first time.
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We generally don't! We might get cards and treat ourselves to a nice dinner and dessert at home, but nothing crazy.

@Synchronicity: You're awesome for starting this thread!
Cycle Day: 17
TTC Cycle: 4 - Ectopic, MC & chemical last three cycles.
Ovulation Date: Jan 22 - more to come on that!
POAS Date: If Jan 22 is correct, Feb 4
Baby #: 2
What's up this month: I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for tomorrow, so I'll update after that!
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We never have, but maybe we'll go out to dinner the weekend after!

Oh, what the hell. I might as well.
Cycle Day: 15
TTC Cycle: 3
Ovulation Date: 1/22/17 (I think?)
POAS Date: 2/5/17
Baby #: 1
What's up this month: My body is screwing with me. My OPKs were getting darker the last few days and its now back to being faint. I think I might've had a short LH surge? My gut is telling me I O'd yesterday. Nonetheless, if I haven't yet O'd, Feb is still my POAS month. I'm gonna keep using my OPKs but will hold off on the HPT until 2/5 (ha! we'll see).
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We do celebrate it. We will be out of state for this one, so we'll probably find a nice restaurant to go to. I'm hoping I know by then if we have a BFP. It would be a nice present.

Cycle Day: n/a (still waiting on first PPAF)
TTC Cycle: 1
Ovulation Date: TBD
POAS Date: TBD
Baby #: 3 (DS will be 3 next month, DD is 14.5 months)
What's up this month: I'm down to nursing just once a day so hopefully AF will return soon - once that happens, we'll be TTC!
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We've never celebrated, although last year I got my BFP (with DD) on Valentines day so that was a pretty memorable gift.

Cycle Day: 8
TTC Cycle: 6 I think
Ovulation Date: no idea hopefully 1/29
POAS Date: 2/12
Baby #: 1
What's up this month: This is an off cycle for me, my CD3 ultrasound showed 2 cysts on my left ovary so no letrozole for me this cycle. I declined birth control so I don't have to wait a cycle out but I have no idea if I will ovulate or not. My thyroid is finally within normal ranges with 75 mcg synthroid and I continue to take my metformin along with a slew of vitamins and supplements including D3 and CoQ10. I am both hopeful about this cycle and pretty convinced that it will be annovulatory. Leaving me with a mess of emotions and no idea when to have sex. I put my thermometer away when I started seeing an RE and have loved not stressing over .1 of a degree, I might pull out cheapie OPKs if I can figure out when to start them.
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? I typically cook a big fancy breakfast and a big fancy meal either the weekend before or after. This year the plan for dinner is homemade lobster ravioli and lemon cheesecake. We exchange cards but no gifts

@madisonbee: Thanks. I know you guys understand all of this and want a baby just as much

@madisonbee: my OPKs started dark, faded to almost nothing, and now today they are very dark again and I think I'll get a positive this evening. Hang in there!
@mrskansas:
@snarkybiochemist: that's what we are here for!

@Synchronicity: Thanks
@madisonbee: As to OPKs, it is possible to have multiple LH surges or almost surges in a cycle before you ovulate.
pear / 1677 posts
@Synchronicity: @snarkybiochemist: Ok, that makes me feel less psycho. I'll keep taking the OPKs then. I'll update my info if things change. Thanks!

@madisonbee: The book taking charge of your fertility offers some good explanations on things, its a giant book but I found the information helpful and calming. Temping can help pinpoint ovulation after the fact, you need 3 days of temperatures .2 degrees above your coverline (which is .1 degree higher then your highest temp in the 6 days before O)

Hi, ladies!
Cycle Day: 18
TTC Cycle: 6
Ovulation Date: 1/18
POAS Date: 2/3 (Hoping I can hold out til then!)
Baby #: 2
What's up this month: I used OPKs for the first time and I know we definitely got the timing right.
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We make heart shaped pizza and eat it at home in our PJs. We aren't big into gifts, but DH loves all the novelty candies like the heart shaped Reese's cups and Snickers so I'll probably get him some of those.

@Synchronicity: thanks for starting this! hoping this one will have as many BFPs as the january thread!!

@snarkybiochemist: I've heard of that book. I've been contemplating purchasing it. Thanks for the reminder!
@jhd: We've done a heart shaped pizza too and stayed home to watch movies. Yum!
nectarine / 2180 posts
@madisonbee: I checked it out of the library and read it cover to cover and took notes on the relevant stuff. I have found that I can google something specific if I forgot or didn't take notes on it, but I don't really need the whole book anymore

This might be TMI, but something prompted me to check my cervical position and it was uber low. I wish I would've checked it a few days before to compare. But it just stood out to me how extremely low it felt (although I'm not an expert at this). Blech.
grapefruit / 4089 posts
@jhd: no problemo!
I'll put together a POAS date list when I get home / am not on mobile, unless someone else wants to do one in the meantime
@madisonbee: I don't know anything about cervical position hope someone else has some feedback for you.
pear / 1677 posts
@Synchronicity: Lol, no worries, I don't either. I'm a nurse so it's sad that I don't know how my own body works, but if your kid breaks a bone or has a brain issue, I'm your girl!

@madisonbee: from Fertility Friend:
The cervix changes throughout the menstrual cycle in response to the hormone, estrogen. During non-fertile times, the cervix is closed, firm and low. As ovulation approaches and fertility is high, the cervix opens up, becomes soft and high and is harder to reach.
grapefruit / 4089 posts
@madisonbee: lol! I'm glad we have people knowledgeable enough to deal with those things. Cervical position has just not been on my radar... until now!
grapefruit / 4089 posts
@mrskansas: totally going to check when I pee in a cup for my next OPK. This TTC business is too much.
pear / 1677 posts
@Synchronicity: Lol that just made me slam my hand on my work desk. Grr! You know, as I was nearing O last cycle, I could barely reach my cervix. To the point where I thought "ok, it's gone, I don't have one." Of course, I didn't know what it meant.
So now I'm just amazed that it moves!

I am pretty sure I am 1 DPO today. When I get my ultrasound tomorrow I'll make sure they look at my left ovary because I'd bet $1,000 that I ovulated from my left side yesterday.
I'm still seeing a tiny bit of brown spotting but my CM is consistent with already having ovulated (sticky, kinda creamy, scant).

@madisonbee: I'm trying to remind myself when I'm feeling crazed that we are doing everything we can right now, so I'm as in control as I'm going to be. I do believe that knowledge is power but sometimes ignorance can be bliss, am I right? I almost wish I didn't know all this stuff.
nectarine / 2813 posts
@madisonbee: @Synchronicity: I never dealt with OPKs or cervical position when I got pregnant with my daughter. I didn't even think twice about my cervix until I was in the hospital and they kept checking it every 30 minutes and then I really wished I didn't have one, because OMG it hurts.
So really everything I "know" is because of Google, lol
pear / 1677 posts
@mrskansas: I'm so hopeful for you too! I think with what your body is putting you through, you deserve a at the end.
@Synchronicity: I told DH the other day that I wish I never delved deeper into the land of TTC. But my OB suggested OPKs so I had to look it up. Ah well!
nectarine / 2813 posts
@madisonbee: I told my husband yesterday that with all the cramps and the spotting that I better be releasing two eggs. I always thought I would have twins, so maybe this will be the universe's way of "making up" for the 2 babies I've lost? Lol.

I'll jump in.
Cycle Day: CD 17
TTC Cycle: 10 (yup...)
Ovulation Date: 1/22
POAS Date: 2/4
Baby #: 1
What's up this month: I have an appointment with the fertility specialist on 1/30. DH had a SA and they said it all looked good, so now it's my turn. I'm really scared about the appointment.
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We don't celebrate Valentine's day. The most we ever do is indulge in a really fancy home cooked meal.

@Tionn3: Welcome! I hope your appointment goes well. We'll be thinking of you!

@Tionn3: My first appt included a long talk with the doctor going over our history, and a transvaginal ultrasound after that they sent me for blood work, 12 vials, and scheduled a saline HSG and uterine biopsy. My husband also had to get blood work. We had a pretty good idea what my issue was, irregular cycles and not always ovulating, so the HSG and biopsy were mostly verification. Similarly we could talk treatment that first visit since we knew what was wrong.
