I really wish Costco sold HPTs in bulk. Random thought.

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@madisonbee: Honestly I wish any store sold cheapies, in bulk or not. I hate that you can only order Wondfo's online and I feel super weird buying more then 2-3 dollar store tests at a time.

@snarkybiochemist: I know! I looked like a mad woman buying 10 dollar store tests. 🙈🙈 And the male cashier goes "I didn't even know we had these"

  6. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@madisonbee: At the dollar store near me they are practically behind the counter, so I feel like I have to ask for them

@snarkybiochemist: @madisonbee: I ordered frers on Amazon prime this morning and I'm always kind of offended when it suggests I "subscribe and save" with a monthly order. like it has no faith in my chances!

I order a huge pack of wondfos on Amazon. If this cycle doesn't stick I need to get a big batch of cheapie opks. .

@bhbee: I'm sorry Amazon has no faith in your chances.

I got a positive OPK, or very close to it this afternoon. Great that my cycle is staying pretty regular off the pill, but feeling down as DH is out of town until Friday (2DPO). So I was quietly actually hoping I'd O late this month, I know it's not all bad, it's just frustrating.

  18. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@Properpie: There is nothing more frustrating then when ovulation and life have differing plans.

@azjax: it went well. Nothing groundbreaking but she took blood to test "low lying fruit"- thyroid, pituitary, and diabetes. They just came back clear! Other than that she said my Lp is somewhat short at eleven days. Not short enough to definitely indicate an LP disorder or necessitate progesterone supplements, but she did recommend b complex and acupuncture. If I have another cp she would put me on progesterone supplements. Basically it looks like rotten luck. Which I'm fine with - just wouldn't want to miss a chance to fix it if there was one.

@knittylady: I'm so glad you had a good appointment and did not get any bad news. I also have an 11 day LP, and my RE said the same, that it's on the short side and might be something we'd want to treat if we continue to have a hard time and nothing else shows up, but far from obvious that it's problematic. I have been doing B vit, acupuncture, and stress management for it. A short LP can sometimes be indicative of issues with ovulation, such as releasing the egg when it's still immature - which could be treated with clomid - but I think at 11 days more often than not its fine.

Sometimes I feel like such a whiner and downer on these threads, but can I just say that TTC can suck... I'm on the west coast for work today, three hours behind my usual time zone, and nowhere opens for breakfast for another hour still. I brought tons of snacks but have felt like crap since waking up, it's making it hard to get my work done, and I know that only real food will help. And, none of this is going to lead to a baby. I hope someday I will look back and see that TTC built character!

Thanks for hearing my complaining. Things probably won't be back to normal enough to POAS until April, but it's so helpful to not feel alone in the TTC process. I'm sure my husband has heard enough of me complaining about it.

@periwinklebee: I've been feeling really down too. It sucks and none of this is easy. Just know that you are not alone - miscarriages are so hard and you're not the only one having a difficult time

  23. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@periwinklebee: you are welcome here and I'm sorry you are going through such a sucky time. It's hard to do this.

@mrskansas: Thank you I'm so sorry that you've been having a difficult time too. We will get through this eventually. I'm always here to vent.

I'm just trying to stick to survival mode until I'm done being pregnant. I have been trying to keep expectations reasonable based on how long it took us to get pregnant and imagine having a baby in spring or summer next year.

Waiting for my breakfast, really hoping it will improve my morning...

@snarkybiochemist: Thank you It sucks that so many of us here have had a bumpy TTC journey, but so glad we're here to support each other.

How are you doing? Are you POAS soon (ugh, I got behind and this thread moves fast!)

  26. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@periwinklebee: I am 7 DPO, and since I want to drink and enjoy my valentines dinner on saturday I am absolutely not testing until sunday but I would like to hold out until my period is officially late. I hate wasting money on tests and I'm sad either way

  27. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

I hear you, I know I may lack self control when the time comes but I would also like to avoid testing before AF. Honestly I now know that I prefer the waiting of the TWW to the waiting of the first trimester. I really hope you have a wonderful Valentines and that this is your month.

I just ordered tampons in bulk from Amazon so hopefully my period shows up Friday after they are delivered. I'm ready to get it over with.

=[ I'm on CD 32 and I'm still just barely spotting. I've been spotting for 3 days now! I've taken a bunch of pregnancy tests and they are all negative, so I have no idea what is going on. I'm getting so frustrated because I can't schedule my HSG until I get my full flow and it is nowhere to be found, I'm not even having cramps anymore =[! I'm now officially late and the last time I had a period this long was the first month I came off birth control over 3 years ago! I don't want to call the infertility doctor because every time I set foot in their office it's a 50% coinsurance and everything is expensive, and it's so stupid because I have really good insurance to begin with, but I don't know what my regular OBGYN can do for me! I'm just so pissed! After 10 months of this BS I'm just over it! On top of all of it my crazy father in law is messing with our rental agreement terms ( we rent a house from them) and it is seriously stressing me out. Ahh!

  33. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@Tionn3: Ugh, I'm sorry. Spotting is so frustrating--just come already if you're coming, ya know? And the added stress with your rental agreement is definitely not helping or ideal. Hopefully you get a breather soon

@mrskansas: DH and I were at the store yesterday and he asked if I needed tampons. I dunno why it made me so mad. My head spun like the exorcist.

@periwinklebee: We're all in this together, highs and lows!

  34. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

    @madisonbee: Thanks!

@Tionn3: AF has a cruel sense of humor. I hope things get moving and you can schedule your testing soon.

I love that this thread is like a big group hug. so many of us have been in difficult places at times in our TTC journey and having that to lean on has been amazing for me.

I've been wondering if any of you would want to start a ttc sucks group on fb. It's selfishly just me thinking of more ways to keep in touch and feel supported I guess. Thoughts?

  37. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@Tionn3: I'm sorry its an awful place to be.. I had cramping and light spotting along with sore boobs and nausea on a super long cycle over the summer. This was before I was seeing an RE so I aksed my regular OB/GYN for a blood pregnancy test and then took provera. I understand just how much this sucks

  38. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@snarkybiochemist: I'm just trying to stay distracted until I can schedule a D&C or things happen naturally. I would not mind symptoms if there was a chance that we'd get a baby out of it, but I'm so over it since we won't. It's like you get to simultaneously feel lousy and have a constant reminder that you're pregnant but it's not working out. I know in the grand scheme of things it's a short-term bump in the road.

  39. Tionn3

@snarkybiochemist: if I don't get my period by the end of the week that is probably what I'm going to do. I feel like cycle irregularities fall under a normal obgyn..

Wish I could give every one of you a hug. I feel like we all need hugs.
