Holy crap 8 pages already and it's not even February! LOL. You ladies have been busy.

    Cycle Day: 4
    TTC Cycle: 22
    Ovulation Date: 2/10ish
    POAS Date: 2/23ish
    Baby #: 1
What's up this month: 2nd cycle on Clomid. Last month I did days 5-9 so this month I'm doing days 3-7.
For Fun: Do you and your partner celebrate Valentine's day? Any plans? We do not typically celebrate Valentine's Day because we both have January birthdays and the anniversary of our first date is February 19th. It's just too much celebrating and gifts all at once! I will probably buy some discount candy on February 15th though.

So I said I wouldn't test early. But I tested today with SMU (had to go get a test! I thought I had a few cheapies) and I know I'm not out until AF shows up but feeling a bit disappointed. I keep having different (to me) PMS symptoms and it messes with my brain!

@jhd: sorry you're feeling down but you're right - it's not over until AF shows

I just went to a work baby shower & I almost couldn't handle the collective "awwwww's" without losing my sh!t.

I also went to a gender reveal party on Sunday for a friend who is due a week before I was supposed to be. I seriously almost cried when they cut into the cake and everyone got really excited. I wish I didn't feel this way.

@mrskansas: I'm so sorry. I have weird conflicted feelings about a few people I'm close with who are announcing second pregnancies. Legitimately happy and excited for them, but it's been painful as well.

ETA and thanks for thinking of me! I'm struggling with the idea that I'll be laid back this cycle. I have trouble with obsessing and compulsions and deciding that not testing would help with that is like a drop in the bucket. I still find myself looking up "yoga for fertility" and eating foods that supposedly help etc., etc., Totally not laid back!

I just don't know how to do NTNP, but I need to.

@mrskansas: I'm so sorry. That had to be so hard.

  11. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: Yep, it sucks. And some days are harder than others. I know it will be easier when I finally have a viable pregnancy but until then, it stings.

  12. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: I can't do the whole NTNP thing either. At all.
I'm too in tune with my body and I love control, so it doesn't work for me. That's part of the reason why I like using OPKs and eating certain foods that can help - it gives me a sense of control because I'm doing SOMETHING, not just sitting around, waiting.

@mrskansas: Be a terrible influence on me and tell me what foods you're eating to help! I'll admit that I started a teaspoon of Royal Jelly once a day. Most bizarre thing ever but I did it the cycle we got DS1.

  14. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: Mainly things that have a lot natural vitamins, especially B vitamins because I read somewhere it's good for fertility. Salmon, eggs, sweet potatoes, organic red meat (in moderation). I'm also taking fish oil.

But I have never heard of Royal Jelly - what is it & how is it supposed to help?

  15. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@mrskansas: I heard about them on this board back in the day. There's no excellent research or anything. I heard people saying it helps with health of the egg and sperm as well as increasing fertile CM. Who knows. It seemed like people had success with it anecdotally and it was hard to find a source that said it could hurt so I went for it!

@mrskansas: baby showers and gender reveals are super hard to attend. I go because I want to support the mama to be, but I really wish I could be the one being celebrated.
@knittylady: I"m not good with NTNP, even this unmedicated unmonitored cycle I still used OPKs and was checking cervical mucus, I just didn't temp. Now I am following through with the always wearing socks (warm feet warm uterus theory) and am thinking of trying to eat pineapple for the next 5 days

@mrskansas: @snarkybiochemist: I've gotten to the point where I won't go to baby showers unless they are for a very close family or one of my two best friends. I'm just tired of putting other people's emotional health before my own. I've accepted that it is totally acceptable to protect yourself, and if other people can't understand that then oh well.

@junebugsmama: Very random, indeed. Hasn't happened since, so I don't think it's AF. But who knows, maybe my body will surprise me anyway with the witch!

Here I am symptom spotting: food aversion. Just had my daily chocolate protein shake (that I ).....and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted in my entire life. Oh lord...

  28. mrskansas

@madisonbee: I don't know if it is helpful or not, but it is literally impossible to have any pregnancy symptoms yet. Implantation wouldn't have even occurred yet

  33. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

I'm maybe 5 or 6 DPO and already feeling really anxious. I'm think I'm going to put all my tests in a bag and give them to my husband to hide so I don't start obsessively taking tests.
Ugh why can't I just relax?!

@bhbee: no kidding! I'm 4-5 dpo. Been feeling really tired though since the weekend. I've gotta be pregnant! 😝 My goal is to test on the 11th. But I'm sure I won't make it then.

@mrskansas: don't be sorry, I LOVE those! Definitely captures TTC and TTW perfectly.

@mrskansas: I've accepted that I'm incapable of relaxing. Sometimes I can't relax even on cycles we didn't try!

@madisonbee: I will be SUPER impressed if you make it until the 11th. I'm going to call it a victory if I make it until Monday. I feel the effects of progesterone every cycle (nausea, fatigue) but pay way too much attention to it if there's a chance for bfp!

    pear / 1677 posts

@bhbee: ok how about this, whoever tests first, then the other person will test then. Lol 😜

@madisonbee: @bhbee: sounds like we are all around the same DPO. I am trying to hold out until after my period is due. Trying. Lol
