@septca: if you are pregnant this month will you still wean or will you keep the one session? I used lemon juice tonight and for a minute it seemed like my son might be fully weaned because he refused me for over an hour when I tried to give him a ore bedtime feed but I was able to dream feed him just now so I feel better. I realized I am not quite ready for the full wean yet. Still praying I can get pregnant and nurse a bit longer.

@HolisticMama: Haha thanks. I'm definitely more laid back about getting pregnant again. To be honest, dh and I could be happy with just one, so I know that factors into it. We want another but we are sort of in the it will happen when it's meant to mindset...at least for right now.

@MrsScottish: Congrats!!!! I don't think I ever saw a line that dark when I was pregnant!

@septca: I really hope it's a sticky baby, keep us posted!

thanks ladies, DH and I both tossed and turned last night. We went out for dinner after we found out, and then went and bought me a new iphone 5s to celebrate!!! (He gets the new hockey skates he has wanted for a few weeks) We figured we need to start saving so this was the last hooray!
Is it normal to be cautious?!?! I am still in disbelief, but I keep saying to DH " if this baby sticks"

  16. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsScottish: It's totally normal to be cautious!!!! I didn't really start thinking of the baby as something that was actually happening until I was out of the first trimester! It can be nerve-wracking and stressful to feel like that, but it's definitely normal!

@MrsScottish: It's totally normal to be cautious, but if you don't have a history of losses, you have a very good chance of having a completely normal and healthy pregnancy. Try to enjoy each day - I *loved* being pregnant and it goes so fast (well, until the end...).

and spotting for me this morning, so I am officially a March rollover. I have to say though, I don't think 4 positives can be attributed to a bad batch of Wondfos, so I am trusting my gut instinct on this cycle... I think I had a failed pregnancy and this experience has really committed me to fully weaning DD. I am going to cut out the bedtime session starting next week and hope to drop both my the end of the next cycle. Between that and the spotting, I am a little down this morning, but a good friend of mine is going through a m/c right now, I am having a hard time feeling too sorry for myself.

THANK YOU all sooooo much for indulging my crazy the last couple of days. You ladies are the best!

@septca: Oh honey, I'm so sorry!!! What a total bummer! And it sucks that you feel you need to wean your DD before you're able to have a successful pregnancy. So unfair. *hugs*

So... I'm starting to wonder if my BBT thermometer doesn't work well... my temps are normally in the lows 97s, but this morning Xander woke up crying and I was up with him for 40+ minutes, walking him around, shushing him, etc. I had forgotten to take my temp, so on a whim, I did it AFTER being up with the baby for 40 minutes. My temp was 97.05 (yesterday it was 97.2 at wake-up). How is that even possible???

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@septca: sorry :-(. my LO has now been fully weaned for 3 days and it's so hard for me. I don't think she cares, but if it doesn't help I'm going to be sad. I also didn't know weaning could cause your body to mimic early pregnancy symptoms or cause depression. I think my last month of craziness makes a lot more sense now.

So....like I mentioned a couple of pages back, I caved and ordered OPKs from Amazon. But, with the crazy weather on the East Coast last week, I think I'm going to miss my surge this cycle! You know I'll pee on them anyway when they arrive, but I'm pretty sure sometime between Tuesday and today was ovulation day. And the OPKs, which were allegedly arriving yesterday, will not probably not arrive until tomorrow. Ugh!

Which brings me to a question...what happens to your OPKs post-ovulation? Do they fade out or go stark white?

  29. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@mfa_lady: Mine vary but after surge it gets lighter and then pretty much fades out but then gets darker before AF.

@septca: You are TOTALLY not being annoying!! We are here for you, no matter what. I'm sorry about the spotting but I'm glad it firms up the fact that weaning may be best for you. I'm cheering you on!

@MrsScottish: OMG Congratulations!!! You're a November mommy then? And I find myself saying the same thing "If this baby sticks...". I've never had a loss but also have never been pregnant. I'm still in disbelief!

@mfa_lady: Mine fade out and have never been stark white. There is always going to be a tiny little line.

@septca: I am so sorry to hear But I admire your strength to carry on and keep going in this journey!

I had cramps last night and was convinced AF is coming! But they went way and no AF. According to FF I'm not due till Sat. I stopped temping altogether b/c I'm like eh, no use at this point haha, I'll start back up next cycle.

@septca: aww I am so sorry that the pregnancy didn't hold. I hope your cycles go back to normal and you re marching your way to a March BFP.

Still praying my LP makes it past 8 days this month. Today at 6DPO I am still not spotting yet which is good. I hope I can keep it up.i have been spottin at 6 or 7DPO then getting AF at 8.

  33. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsMccarthy: My fingers will be crossed for you the next couple days!!! I really hope your LP is longer and you have a shot at implantation!!!

  34. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Mrs.Panda: @littlek: Thanks, girls! I think I'll still test out the OPKs even though I think I missed my surge. I'm sure that will drive me insane....but not as much as waiting until next month.

  35. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@MrsMccarthy: Ooooh, sounds promising about your LP! Hope it lengthens out for you.

@Adira: @mfa_lady: thanks sweeties. Having the support of you helps me get through no matter what.

I have a feeling it's going to take me a while to conceive while still nursing and its stressful but for the time being I am okay with that. I'm just not ready to fully wean my son yet.

  38. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

Random question for those of your that check your cervix. Do you still check it the day of/after you BD'd? Part of me feels like sticking a finger up there is going to kill any sperm that's hanging out waiting for an egg! Am I being totally irrational???

  40. Freckles

    honeydew / 7444 posts

@snowjewelz: My back's been hurting, but it could be from lack of sleep. I thought AF was coming too! AF is supposed to come tomorrow, and i'm trying not to test until then. I already had 2 BFNs this week, and i can't waste any more $$.
