@MrsMccarthy: I made it happen!! Depending on when O actually happens, I might just have a shot this cycle after all. FX you have a long LP that gives you a sticky baby!!!

@ChiCalGoBee: thank you sweetness! I really hope you see O soon and a BFP as well!! FX

@ChiCalGoBee: is the monitor easy to use? I heard the cartridges were a little pricey. I really hope it gets you your BFP quickly!

  4. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@Crystal: SUPER easy to use. Yes, the refill sticks are pricey, but it seems like once it knows your cycle you should only have to use 10 per cycle. Even on this first cycle it helped because I wasn't anticipating O any earlier than this upcoming Thurs/ Fri (and thought Sunday was most likely!) and it had me on "high" fertility alert since last week. I think had I just used the OPK I wouldn't have been looking out for signs this early. Now I have at least two weeks to see if my timing worked well , but I am very happy with the monitor. FWIW, OPKs agreed with monitor (and EWCM), so I'm trusting all three.

@MrsMccarthy: No euphemism! We got about a foot of snow!! And thanks for the advice - I'll have to see what I can find at my store for a B complex vitamin!

@ChiCalGoBee: I hope you were able to BD last night! Hubs and I didn't. Soooooo hoping he feels better today!!

So I tried out an OPK this nothing. Stark white! Almost felt like a BFN, haha.

My sleep is garbage today. It's 3:53 AM and I have probably been up since around 2:45 AM and can't go back to sleep. :: sigh ::
I wish my sleep wasn't so impacted by my hormones.

@Crystal: This is my second month using it even though we are going to miss fertile week. First month it asked for sticks starting, day 6, and I got peak on cd 16. Used 10 sticks. So far, today is day 6, and it didn't ask for a stick. So that pack of 30 will last me 3 months at $50 instead of digitals I bought monthly at $38.

@Adira: Yikes on the stark white OPK! I bought my first ones online and they're arriving today--I plan to take one tonight for kicks (this actually should be my fertile week) and I'm terrified of what you said...that it'll feel like a BFN if there's nothing! Good luck, mama.

  9. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@mfa_lady: It wasn't QUITE as bad as a BFN because I knew I probably wasn't ovulating anytime soon, so I was expecting it to be negative, but I still thought a light line would show up, and I got nothing! It could also be the time of day I tested because I know a lot of people don't see their surge until the afternoon I don't think and I tested at 4:30 a.m.!

  10. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Adira: Fingers crossed you see a super dark line in no time! Based on CM and general timing from when I got my MC BFP, I should be ovulating this week. But, this is my first full, "normal" cycle post-MC, so I'm afraid things are still out of wack. I like to think I can wait until next cycle to use the OPKs....but let's be honest. There will be sticks in the house. I will be peeing on them. (They come via Amazon today. Wish me luck! Haha.)

  11. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@mfa_lady: Hopefully you do ovulate soon!!! My cycles have been totally wonky post-baby, so I finally broke down and bought some OPKs since I've been having watery CM for over a week with no signs of ovulating in sight! Hopefully your cycle post-MC is more normal and you get your BFP and sticky baby in no time!! And have fun peeing on all the sticks!

Currently 8 DPO--and itching for time to move a little faster!! I have sore nipples, intermittet cramps, huge swollen boobs, and am waking up every day at 4AM to pee. Unfortunately, these things can also be symptoms of the natural progesterone in my body so really, I have nothing to go on. This wait it killing me... Anyone else having any symptoms post-O?

    Take care!!

@Lady Hibiscus: I like how you just keep moving me up on the list.

Okay, here's my update: I am a mess of contradictions today. It's 13 DPO. I got a very clear, but *very* faint pink line on a Wondfo this morning. Maybe (?) a shadow on a FRER, but we'll call that a BFN. FMU was very light for some reason. I had some major cramping at 10-11 DPO but nothing since then. My symptoms include fatigue, headache, nausea, and I am really emotional. All things that could be PMS related. So... basically I *feel* pregnant, so I am letting those stupid Wondfo lines get my hopes up even though I *know* those tests aren't worth a darn thing. I will keep POAS and hoping AF stays away - she is due Friday.

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@theotherstark: ((hugs)) Thank you. I have to keep my hopes realistic at this point... I got a very similar line at 9 DPO and nothing between then and this morning. I HOPE it's the real thing, but my expectations are low.

Is your picture from the Li River????

  17. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@septca: omigosh! I am super hopeful for you too. Those wondfos need to stop messing with our emotions! FX!!!

I can't wait to see the updates from all of today's testers.

Still feeling pretty sure this wont be our month. In SUPER stressed! Attempts to night wean jaw actually led to my toddler wanting to nurse even more at night. He has been up screaming and begging for milk all night. I finally give in buy I am exhausted from the process and tense from the clear reality that he is not going to let this go in any way smoothly. Now I just don't know what to do. I feel like the more he nurses the more my linin begins to break down and prevent a baby from implanting.

@septca: OMG, that sounds soooooo promising!!!!!!! It needs to be tomorrow already so we can get an update!!!!

  19. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsMccarthy: Oh girl, I'm so sorry. That sounds so stressful. You timed BD so well too, so I really hope that nursing won't affect implantation! Try not to stress out - people get pregnant while nursing all the time!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

  20. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@MrsMccarthy: and @Adira: Thanks, ladies. I have such a love-hate relationship with Wondfos... on one hand, they were much more sensitive for me than FRERs when I got my first BFP, but on the other hand, I never had an evap when I was TTC DD... this time I get one every single time. Today's line was a line (not an evap), but I am super paranoid that it is just a bad batch.

@MrsMccarthy: I am so sorry that you are going through this with your son. I really feel for you because I am in a very similar position. What if you trying sleeping separately before night weaning? I know DD sleeps better and wakes less often when we sleep separately, so sleep training her was actually really easy once she was established in her crib. How is his eating during the day? On days DD doesn't eat enough she wakes so much earlier to nurse. But ((hugs)), because weaning is *so* hard - I am really struggling with taking the next step right now, but have promised myself that I am going to drop the bedtime feed starting next week.

@septca: I'm holding out hope for you, sounds like a positive to me!!!

In other news - a coworker/friend of mine just announced she's pregnant with her second child. First month of trying. I'm excited for her, of course, but it's starting to hurt as we approach one year of trying.

I'm still waiting for my progesterone pills to do their job and bring on AF so I can start my second round of Clomid...I'm ready for yet another fresh start!

  31. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@HolisticMama: Have you tested on an OPK at work before? How do you do it? The ones I have say you have to wait 5 minutes before looking at the result. Do you just hang out in the bathroom for 5+ minutes??

  32. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@Adira: I used to test at work - I would just wrap the test in a piece of TP, put it in my pocket, and then look at it back at my desk.

  33. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@septca: so I'm curious.. Isn't a line a line on a FRER? Is there no color and that's why you are saying its a shadow?

  34. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@littlek: I am saying it's a shadow because there seems to be *something* there - it's not the stark white FRER I am used to seeing... but it's not enough of a line for me to be hopeful. The test itself is a bit problematic because it has a line in the plastic covering of the test area right next to where a second line would show up, so I am not sure whether I am actually seeing something or if I am just seeing the shadow of that line. Does that make sense? I just pulled up the picture of my BFP with DD and the FRER is so light you can barely see it. SO. I'll test again tomorrow and see what's what.

My fear and gut instinct is that I am technically KU, but that it's going to be a C/P.

  35. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@septca: agh gotcha. I hope it's not a CP and instead a sticky baby. Have you thought about getting a beta?

  36. Adira

@septca: Thanks! I was curious how that worked!

@septca: Hoping for the best for you! And think positive! You're not out till you're out!

@Lady Hibiscus: You can switch me to the 22nd for now, thanks!!

Sigh, no AF but pretty sure it's b/c my cycle is long this month. Have tender boobs, but I had that last time before AF so it seems to be a new PMS symptom for me. I also have had a headache yesterday and today... Not sure if it's my period headache or not! I really wasn't banking on this month, but it's still a little disappointing to be rolling over soon

  38. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@septca: how does todays result compare to your BFP with LO? similar?

  39. Lady Hibiscus

    cherry / 108 posts

So excited for you Septca-- hoping its a beautiful sticky baby!!

  40. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@littlek: Well, with DD I got my + at 10 DPO and today is 13 DPO... the lines on the Wondfos are similar, although today's is slightly less visible. My DH could not see the line with DD. I have pictures (of course!) and my test line was significantly darker by 12 DPO last time. All I can do is keep POAS, I guess. But, like I said, I do not have high hopes right now. I think the line should be darker by 13 DPO than it was this morning.
