@Crystal: my OPKs can sometimes be nearly naked and then darken within a day of ovulation. Are you testing twice a day?

@Lady Hibiscus: We still have a lot of testers left this month!

    @googly-eyes: that sounds very promising!

    HI Ladies!
    I'm thinking about you!
I'm buried with work and school work. -_-
DH and I have been managing to BD EOD. Yesterday we actually wanted to do it twice in one day, which I don't think we have ever done before...but we both agreed with his sperm count and morphology that it would be best to wait until Tuesday.

Not being able to DTD whenever I want now makes me want it all the more.

@HolisticMama: I missed you! I am so impressed that you got EOD out of your hubby. I hope it does the trick for you. Are you guys going till you get a positive opk or longer?

@MrsMccarthy: I'll have to ask him about it. We had that weird cycle...so I'm not sure. We probably should?

I am shocked about EOD too. It turns out that I forgot that I was/am sexy. We went to Nordstrom's on Saturday, because MIL wanted to shop for our trip in April. I got fitted for new bras. We also went in October before our trip to Germany, in which I was fit into a 36DD.

I discovered that I am now in a 34DDD. (Cup sizes do dumb things when band sizes shrink). It was shocking to me. Downright dumbfounding. In college, I was a 34B. So I put on a shirt that I had in college that I really haven't worn since then. I also put on makeup.

DH discovered that he has a sexy wife. Who knew?
    I am SUCH a stereotypical pear: http://t-tapp.com/challenge2013/winners/winner.php?id=41
I'm still over 200 pounds, but now I feel like I am rocking it a bit more.

I had an idea that DH really liked- every month we would go out to dinner and then go shopping for one new sexy outfit and some lingerie.

@MrsMccarthy: @Crystal: Thanks ladies. I don't really think anything is going on, just irregular periods, but the nausea is interesting. We'll be ok with either outcome, since we have a huge move going on soon, but it's hard not to get a little hopeful. If not we will wait two more months before ttc.

Feeling pretty bad about this cycle now. I feel like my hormones are just too wacky still. Breast feeding all through the night and ovulating so late in my cycle. I feel like I gonna need to overhaul myself next cycle. I know I'm not out yet. I'm only 3DPO and I have a lot of confidence that my body will get pregnant again but I feel like it needs to be less off first. I wish weaning weren't so hard and heartbreaking.

@googly-eyes: Im in the same boat as you, had nausea for 4 days and no AF. Still patiently waiting for something to happen. Good Luck.

Soooo.....anyone have advice on how to rally DH to BD during a Man Cold? Do you think I should just be frank about timing and ask, or try and be more sexy about it? I could see either way either going well or completely falling flat, so I'm looking to you bees for advice!

  13. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@Crystal: Hopefully this gives you hope! This morning I had a pretty light OPK (negative). By 2 PM it was darker (but still negative), but 9 PM this evening was a positive. To me it still looks a little light, but within a period of 14 hours it certainly darkened significantly. I suggest multiple-times-a-day tests, even though it's a bit pricier.

  14. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: can you tell him you are really really feeling randy?? Perhaps he will buy it or maybe you can say you think you might be in prime baby mode because you are feeling very sexual? Or maybe be his sexy "nurse" and suggest it as a way to improve his health? I have to be direct with my husband so these are not experienced suggestions.

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@MrsMccarthy: thanks, friend! I'll be happy to put on a bit of an Oscar-worthy performance in the interest of gittin' 'er done:-). If he isn't buying the turn on, I will be direct. I hate to be the wife that points out "if we don't have sex today and tomorrow we don't get another shot for a month!!!!" But I'll go there if I have to....

@Lady Hibiscus: You might as well remove me from the list. CD 23 and I still haven't ovulated. Even if I were to ovulate today (which I won't given all other factors), I'd only be 10 DPO on Feb. 28th and I refuse to test that early. So I'm moving on to March.

Maybe someone can help me explain my insane temperatures. I've been really sick the last week, and I was pretty sure I had a fever, and sure enough, my temperature went up to 99+. Then after about 3 days I was feeling better, and my temperature went back down to my usual range. Now, I'm feeling much better with just a lingering cough, my temperature the last two days have been 99+ again. Negative OPKs the entire time, so as far as I know I haven't ovulated.

So all that to say, when you get sick, what happens with your temperatures? How long will this craziness last?!

  19. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Aria: When I was sick last cycle, my temps were all over the place for over a week, even though I was feeling better!!! It was a mess and I totally didn't understand what was going on. Hopefully your temps go back to normal soon!

@MrsMccarthy: How old is LO again?

@Tam: Sorry I am behind. Sounds promising this cycle! What CD are you?

@ChiCalGoBee: Too bad salvia isn't friendly with sperm, hm?

@BakerBee: Thanks! We're just chugging right along here. I'm not entirely sure what is going on with this cycle yet. If I was going to have a 28 day cycle...I think I should ovulate today, but OPKs are looking dismal. Although I think I had some nice fertile CM yesterday evening, but not even close to what I usually have. -_-

EOD DTD also seems to confuse me with CM, but the thing with EOD DTD is that you know you are going to hit the egg if you do it early or long enough, you know?

@Aria: My temps seem to be all over the place just for the sake of being all over the place. I wake up often in the middle of the night and wake up at different times in the morning. Whoops. I'm glad you are feeling better!!

Cervix seems to be higher and getting softer, perhaps a good sign! We have plans to DTD tonight. I was teasing that I was bummed yesterday wasn't today because I wanted to BD.

  22. Tam

    grape / 92 posts

@HolisticMama: I am currently CD 41, 19 DPO. Still zero sign of AF. and still getting BFN on Clear Blue test. Had unexplained nausea for 4 days last week. i know the chances of me getting a BFP this month are very slim due to the fact that I am so far along but atleast there is still a small chance. Got to be hopeful

My POAS is supposed to be yesterday... AF has not arrived, but FF is saying that I ovulated late and this cycle will be longer than my last so now my next POAS date is supposedly the 22nd. I don't even know when to test now bc this is only my 2nd cycle off BCP and who knows when AF is supposed to get here!? I also didn't temp these past few days since I was out of town.

@MrsMccarthy: We are in the same boat. Baby girl is getting over a cold and doing lots of comfort nursing, but as soon as she is better we are going to drop to one feed... over the next month or so I'd "like" for her to be completely weaned. I used quotation marks, because that's NOT what I'd like at all, but I am afraid it is what needs to be done. Although my cycle is back, I can tell that my hormones are still not on track... super long cycles, late O, weak O signs... We are facing tough decisions here, but in the end I think it's much better to wean DD than to risk my health the way I currently am by living in limbo land, not on BC, not KU.

Oh, and case in point - big patch of EWCM today at 12 DPO. WTF?!?

  25. Adira

So I'm not sure, but I THINK my cervix has moved up a bit... but I also checked it earlier than I had the past three days, so maybe that's messing with me. I'm going to check again at 11:00 which is closer to the normal time.

Of course, I have nooooo idea what I'm really doing and I'm not even sure if what I'm feeling is even my cervix, but it feels different than everything else up in there, so it must be, right???? I feel like an idiot...

Just ordered some Babi OPKs. I look forward to seeing how they compare. Also placed an order for a new brand of chia seeds and my favorite probiotic.
(What I SHOULD be doing is homework. And then when I get to work...I need to bust my bum preparing for a career fair that I have tomorrow, which I planned all by my lonesome. 30+ employers, hundreds of students and community members. Good times.)

  27. HolisticMama

@Adira: Yup. Once I discovered that I could just follow my rugae- I can find it quite easily now. http://www.beautifulcervix.com/your-cycle/

I think it can be a great tool. Since I started last cycle, I can most definitely tell when it's on the move, because this morning I actually had to lean over a bit to find it. I don't usually have to do that. Some women can't even touch their cervix when it's in it's high position.

From what I have experienced, my cervix doesn't change position much during the course of a day, but I am going to be monitoring it today, because I heard it can move around relatively quickly as ovulation approaches.

  28. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@HolisticMama: Damn it - that website is blocked at my work because it's considered "Sexual Materials"!

I THINK my cervix moved because I kind of struggled to find it, but I also have only been checking it the past three days, so I'm definitely not a pro yet and I'm honestly not sure if I'm checking it correctly. But if it HAS moved up, that means I'm gearing up to ovulate right??? Maybe it's time to break out my OPKs and get on the BD train again!

@HolisticMama: Yep, when mine is high, I can't touch it That's why I can never put 'open' on its highest days. Haha.

@septca: I have read that you can sometimes get random patches of EW throughout the cycle, but I'm crossing my fingers that this is a good sign for a BFP for you!

@MrsMccarthy: I'm sorry you're feeling down This process is such an up and down one, isn't it? I have high hopes for you this cycle, though!! Chin up, lady.

@MrsMccarthy: oh hon...I'm sorry the thought of weaning is so heartbreaking for you. I know I would feel the same if LO hadn't done it on his own. No advice, but sending you lots of hugs.

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@theotherstark: Ha ha. The only other time I have ever had fertile CM after O was the cycle I got my BFP for DD. But since it's 12 DPO and all I have to show for this cycle is a bunch of Wondfo evaps, I think I have to chalk it up to wacky hormones.

  33. Ms.Mermaid

@snowjewelz I'm in the same position - my original date was like, the 18th and then my temps pushed it back to the 25th and I'm not sure when to test. I'm going to wait until Friday or Saturday to test with an FRER, and then if I'm late I'll test with a digital test probably on the 26th? Do you have any idea how many DPO you are?

  34. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@MrsMccarthy: The answers I am getting here have just completely solidified my decision: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/363698.page.

  35. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Ms.Mermaid: I'm technically 11 DPO according to FF. I think they might be right that I O'd on C18 b/c my temp def went up from that on. We DTD O-3, so I am not sure if I have a chance or not! I think I will test this Sat if I don't get signs for AF! What about you?

@HolisticMama: I'm gonna order them too if I roll over to March which is highly likely! With my wack cycles I really need help!

  36. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I just saw this! I tested yesterday afternoon, but it was only a three hour hold, so I don't think it was entirely accurate. My OPK this morning was light too.... hoping to see something darken soon. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Hugs, friend. I have total faith you will get KU with another sweet LO and that it will happen soon.

@ChiCalGoBee: Thank you! That does make me feel better! I am just eager for my cycles to return to normal, and this made me worried it was still off. I will keep testing!

Was DH convinced? the things we do in the name of TTC, I swear! lol

@HolisticMama: I am so happy you posted, I've missed you! Let me know if you like those better than wandfos.

@septca: Hugs to you too. With your health concerns, weaning seems like the best choice, even if its sucks. Have you POAS to see if the EWCM is indicative of a BFP?

  37. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@Crystal: Thanks. I need some extra hugs today. I am back at work after a 5-day weekend (thank you, snowstorm!) and just having a really hard time dealing with the job blow I got on Wednesday. I just have no idea where to take my career next and it's getting me really down - plus it just takes *so* much energy and effort to network and apply for jobs and go through the whole process - energy I just don't have right now. I feel so emotional and PMSy that I am sure AF is right around the corner. I am 12 DPO and having all sorts of lovely phantom symptoms, but all tests. I actually got a really faint positive on a Wondfo at 9 DPO within the testing timeframe (enough of a line to show up in picture), but it faded to an evap after the time window. Have gotten Wondfo evaps and negative FRERs since then.

  38. HolisticMama

@snowjewelz: Yeah. I was thinking this morning, "Hm...Maybe I should have waited until AF to order new ones." LOL. It's just that I got paid last week and it didn't occur to me to wait. Watch me get a BFP this cycle. DH is sweetly optimistic. Last month I used a positive affirmation every day and this cycle I feel like...

@septca: Also, have you utilized the help of any staffing agencies? A lot of the time they also offer full time positions if that is what you are looking for.

I'm actually a Career Services Advisor and Certified Professional Resume Writer in my non-TTC life. I wish I could get a certification in Linkedin. Are you utilizing that to reach out to recruiters? Being able to network in your jammies is pretty awesome. Let me know if I can help you in any way.
