@ChiCalGoBee: let us know how it goes!

@septca: yeah I am starting to think that full weaning may be the only way to regain full fertility. I am still trying to figure out my timeline but I think it will either be April or July that I finally go all the way. I definitely don't feel good about this cycle. I was feeling good and then I realized that ovulating on day 20 is just not a good sign for a woman who averaged day 15 or 16 before. I would love to be hopeful but I think it hurts me more when I'm not somewhat realistic with myself. I'm sorry that you are feeling crappy. I hope you see a normal cycle followed by a BFP soon!

@HolisticMama: my son is 17.5months old. I used the expectorant but I can't be sure if it helped or not because I always have a bit of ewcm in my window

@theotherstark: thank you sweetheart! I am keeping my fibers and toes crossed that this will be your month!!

Sorry for all the posts but it was the only way I could reply to everyone who gave me a shout out.

@MrsMccarthy: I hear you. This is not something I want to do, so I keep making up excuses not to... I keep telling myself *this* will be the month I get KU and then I won't have to wean! But it finally hit me today that this is what happened last time - and I remember how angry I was when I finally had surgery when we were TTC #1 and learned that we *never* would have been successful without intervention... like my current situation, I kept putting off surgery thinking this month would be the one. I have to bite the bullet.

Seems pretty slow today, so I have a question for you: When are you "out"? I always say I count myself out with a BFN at 12 DPO, but that conflicts with what I know about implanation, which is that is occurs at 5-10 DPO and then it takes 2-3 days for the HCG to build in your system. I assume this logic is what leads most people to say "you aren't out until AF shows." So which side are you on?

  14. googly-eyes

    GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts

@septca: I say you're not out til you get your period. There's such a wide range of "normal" when it comes to pregnancy tests and when people get bfps.

Anyway, I'm definitely not pregnant this month. I'm actually sort of relieved though, because although an end of October baby would have been a cool date for us, things will be much less stressful if we just stick with our original plan of waiting a couple more months. It'll be here soon enough! We have sooooo many transitions happening in 2014.

Will still be checking in on all of you ttc ladies though!

@MrsMccarthy: Sorry you aren't feeling positive about this cycle. Hopefully you're proven wrong.

@MrsMccarthy: More... some interesting info from KellyMom: http://kellymom.com/bf/normal/fertility/.

Interestingly, this says that an HPT won't pick up a pregnancy until 7-14 days after implantation. That was *not* my experience with DD, but it's interesting nonetheless.

@MrsMccarthy: I liked that deodorant too! But it gave me a rash! And I looked up one of the ingredients and it was sketchy...However...all the ingredients look clean now: http://www.vitacost.com/earth-science-liken-plant-natural-deodorant-herbal-parfume
I think I will have to check it out again.

DH said he doesn't like the new pit putty.
Hehe. I will probably go through it though.

@googly-eyes: I think your approach is cool. A part of me keeps thinking that it would be really nice not to have a baby until DH is eligible for FMLA leave. I would love to get a BFP now or anytime in the not so distant future, but timed babies are nice too.

I agree too, in till AF!

@septca: 7-14 days? So what, I implanted on no later than 3dpo, since I got a bfp at 10? That doesn't make sense. The rest is really interesting though. We plan to basically ntnp once LO is here, and let a second happen when it happens. Since I plan to bf on demand and all that, looks like I don't need to worry too much early on.

@HolisticMama: I used Babi OPK's this cycle and really really liked them. As I've posted before, the lines are just more definitive in my opinion. Good luck to you!

@MrsMccarthy: I saw those at Whole Foods and wanted to pick some up but didn't want to be disappointed like I was with Tom's. Glad you like it! Which scent is nicer?

My second betas came back and my doubling time is about 30 hours. Went from an 18 to a 89.3! I can finally start to relax a little. Cheerleading you guys on big time!

@septca: @Torchwood: I definitely got my BFP 2 days after implantation because I had bloodwork to show my O date, then a big temp dip on 7DPO for a BFP on 9DPO. Also @septca: I just had a weird patch of wet/ewcm the other night. Our bodies are weird!

  22. Freckles

    honeydew / 7444 posts

@Mrs.Panda: That's great news. i'm really really glad to hear!

I impulsively tested last night with a cheapo test (10dpo~estimated) and came up with BFN. AF is supposed to show on Friday. Siiiigh!!

  23. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@septca: I'd say it aint over till it's over because i was kind of a late implanter and sometimes even with all the charting in the world ovulation can be hard to pinpoint BUT i would definitely feel pretty done by 12DPO with BFN. I read that Kellymom post a few months back and felt so encouraged but even with 7 hour weaning a day i have yet to see my cycles go back to the old way. I am going to try to up it to 12 hours a day and then if that doesnt work i will have to go full turkey. Our big issue is at night. He loves to suckle for about 10mins every 2 or 3 hours. Ugh

@Mrs.Panda: I LOVE the Liken. its so sweet smelling.

@googly-eyes: thank you! you never know but in my minds logic i am starting to think that i will need an ovulation date closer to my normal day 15 to really see a pregnancy happen. I am now just praying for a longer luteal phase.

  24. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@septca: I don't think you are out til AF shows, because like others have said, there is such a range for implantation or exact date of ovulation.

@MrsMccarthy: What made you switch to this deodorant?

  26. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Crystal: I was trying to avoid aluminum brands which are linked to cancer but I found that Tom's wasn't cutting it. I am stinky and mentioned to a friend who loved this one. It's still not as good as secret but its the best natural one I've used.

@MrsMccarthy: Ugh, my husband is coming down with a cold and doesn't want to do me!!!! Gahhhh - now I'm hoping that I'm NOT going to ovulate soon!!!

  32. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Adira: what a drag! I hope he gets better in time for you to catch your O! In the interim perhaps you can try a complex or something to help your cycles normalize?

  33. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsMccarthy: Thanks! I'm currently hoping he just feels well enough to snow blow in the morning, haha. What would you suggest for a complex for me to try out??

  34. mfa_lady

@HolisticMama: Girlfriend, can you tell me more about this Certified Professional Resume Writer? I'm a writer by trade and do resumes for all of my friends and family all the time. I'd love to know how to REALLY learn the logistics of how to do it!

@Mrs.Panda: AHH, sweet girl! I am soooooo crazy happy to hear this. Congratulations again! xo

  36. MrsMccarthy

@Adira: snow blow? Is that a euphemism for something? I like rainbow lite B complex vitamins! I'm gonna try vitex too. I'll let you know how that goes.

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@Adira: I totally hear you. We're in that boat. I'm pretty sure I can make tonight happen before the full blown Man Cold sinks in, but I'm doubtful for tomorrow, too. FX your timing ends up working out!

  38. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

    @mfa_lady: Sure! It's relatively easy peasy: http://parw.com/pdf/PARWCC-CPRW-Info.pdf

But alas...all certifications cost money. I was lucky that the university I work for paid for mine. There are different components of the test, including writing a cover letter and resume, but I thought it was relatively simple.

DH and I got a little BD in this evening. We tried making the room as dark as possible to see if our other senses were piqued. LOL.

I'm frustrated that I don't really know when O is. DH asked, "Well- aren't your little sticks telling you something?" I said I want a fertility monitor- and he said we could just try to be doing it at least twice a week all month.

  40. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@HolisticMama: I know i'm only on my first cycle with it, but seriously....to me it's SO worth it. Especially if you can buy them used. The info has been amazing so far. If it helps me get pregnant quicker than I anticipated, it will have been priceless to me!
