@Mrs.Panda: that's so close to positive that I would definitely Consider it so and get your groove on tonight and the following few days even if you get a negative.

@ChiCalGoBee: do you ovulate late? My period isn't due till Wednesday.

@MrsMccarthy: do you think I missed my O because of my cervical position? I'm new to ovulating lol. Also this morning my CM was stretchy but this afternoon with the dark opk or was more sticky.

@littlek: Technically my period is due tomorrow. I've had 28-day cycles the last two months, and today is CD 28. However, I HAVE had longer (33-34) in the past. I know I ovulated super late (CD 19 from OPKs), so thus far it's a good thing AF is staying away. I feel like an idiot for saying this, but I'm so new at this that I don't know what to expect, and when to expect it.

@FaithFertility: Ditto!!!! I'm covering this whole board in sparkly, shiny, Valentines-y baby dust. I hope this dust produces sticky bebes this month:-).

@Lady Hibiscus: I'm going to say that my O date was last night and I will be POAS on Valentine's Day

@Mrs.Panda: It has been my experience that EWCM occurs the days before the surge. I do think its possible that you missed it if you didn't BD that same day but I still think you should keep BD even if you are on CD22 now because the egg can last anywhere from 10 hours to 36 so it cant hurt. I hate opks because they don't give you much of a window. That's why I like my monitor. As far as I know Cervical position is very much a secondary sign too so I would put more credence in temps, cm and OPK than that.

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@Mrs.Panda: I'm impressed that you can figure out how to make heads or tails of cervical position. I'm incredibly clueless about that! Either way, I hope there's lots of DTD going on at your house in this lovely (Fertile?!?!?!) window!

@MrsMccarthy: Yeah my OPK that I just did at 8:30 is lighter so I think the dark one was a fade out. We will BD tomorrow and the next day to be sure, but if I O'd yesterday that would at least get us Day of and Day after. The last time before that was 4 days ago. I wish I could use the monitor but I have heard that PCOS sufferers can't use it, do you now about that?

ETA: Correction - upon looking at the latest strip from 8:30 PM, it is just as dark as the last one. I'll see what tomorrow morning brings.

@Mrs.Panda: POAS twins!! DH and I have BD three days in a row, and are exhausted! Still getting highs on my monitor and it's cd 14. We will pick up our bd storm Super Bowl Sunday lol!

@ChiCalGoBee: lol I either can reach or I can barely reach it. I am really fuzzy on a lot of things, I am often trying to figure out how "firm" it is by comparing my nose and lips!

@dc yoga bee: Yay!!! This makes me happy!! We will do it the next 2 days to be sure, too! How do you like your monitor?

  13. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Mrs.Panda: oh yes I have read that top because your estrogen levels are different. Are you temping as well? Temping was very helpful for me. Internal temping helped a lot. Sounds like your timing should be good. Fx for you!

@Mrs.Panda: I love the 6hr testing window. I set it at 6am, so I can test three hrs before, which covers having to go to the bathroom during the night, and 3hrs later for sleeping in on weekends. At first I was discouraged bc it was low from cd 6-12, but I got my first high yesterday! I'm hoping I actually get a peak this first month, but who knows I noticed my watery cm started one day before the first high, so I'm glad I was paying attention and bd that day instead of waiting for the monitor to change. But, overall I like it so far. I read on a message board clearblue claims I think 60% of people get pregnant within 3 months using it, but I'm curious since it's hard to say for sure if they wouldn't have gotten pregnant anyways, and it's probably self-reporting, and more ladies who haven't got their BFP yet may not be reporting.

I was feeling really positive and now I am feelin kind of freaked again. I think revisiting my old AMH numbers and googling kind f sent me into a tailspin. I fear secondary infertility and worry my son was a wonderful anomoly. I know that worrying wont solve anything but part of me feels so sad we waited and don't start right away for a new baby because I feel likes cycles were better for a while. I am not sure how to help things. I just feel like I started this TTC game so confident that we would be pregnant I'm a reasonable amount of time and now I feeling so unsure. It was only one month but my body not cooperating the past two and my age just got me in a really crappy headspace. That and reading about people with my AMH numbers. I am not a religious person but I think some prayer/ meditation is gonna e necessary for me to find my glad thoughts again. Thank god for my son. I really hope he isn't the only miracle I will see. I would so love for him to have a sibling. I don't care at all about the sex or the birthday being during Christmas or any of that stuff. I just hope we get a healthy pregnancy within 6 months. Preferably ASAP. I won't be able to hit anything but O and O+1 this month most likey (and if I O early for some reason I will kiss my chance completely) but I am still trying to stay hopeful that another baby is on the way for me. And for all of you girls too.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm sorry you're feeling disheartened, that is so rough to be left in limbo. I hope that cycle was just a little weird because of your BFing and that you regulate a little more through this process. Are you going to wean at all?

  17. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Mrs.Panda: thank you honey. I've already weaned in afternoons and I am working on getting my son to nurse less but I'm also scared that I will be sad I ended our nursing relationship sooner than we were ready f there is a chance I can conceive while nursing. We shall see. I wish I were a more patient person.

broke down and tested this am w/ FMU (8DPO). expected nothing. saw the faintest shadow on a wondfo, so tried a FRER. and... 2 LINES!!! OMG. In shock. Just woke DH up. Will post a pic in a minute, but that second line is there, even he saw it!

BFN for me at 10 DPO. I'm guessing I'm prob out, but haven't had my temp go down yet for AF to show up. I'll still be cheering on the crew!

@Aria: Boo, I'm sorry =( That feeling sucks. This month is pretty much the only time I've ever been excited to feel sick.

@ChiCalGoBee: I haven't gotten a chance to test for a darker line yet - I kinda used up all my pregnancy tests that first night making sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me! I need to go to the store today for one.

@Mrs.Panda: I think you made the right choice with the BDing, OPKs can be so tricky! I don't know if you've considered temping, but it made it much easier for me to actually know and be able to see my temp rise to verify ovulation. But I'm terrible at the cervix checking, so I have no advice there.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm sorry you're having a rough time with it =( I worried a lot about secondary infertility too. My son happened so quickly that even though I know the average is something like 7 months, but month 4 I was seriously stressed about it. If I hadn't gottena BFP this cycle I think I would've had a complete meltdown, because we hit O-2, O-1, and O day. FX it's your month too!

@lioneyes: Yayyy that's awesome, congrats! Two days into February and 2 BFPs let's hope that trend continues =) And WOW your 8DPO test is wayyy darker than my 9DPO one! You must have implanted super early.

@ChiCalGoBee: I'll be keeping my fingers crossed hoping that you just had implantation occur later on and that your period doesn't show up!

@wonderstruck: Congrats!!! It's so hard to see things on my phone sometimes, sorry for the delay!

I was temping but I work nights so it made it really difficult to do it and was stessing me out, so I stopped. I may start up again if I get this other job where I will be working during the day.

@lioneyes: Congratulations!!! February is off to a great start!

@dc yoga bee: I think I'm going to just buy one even though they say it may have slightly skewed results in people with PCOS. My HSA covers it so why not use the money there? haha

@Mrs.Panda: I think it may be worth a shot! I got my peak egg today at cd 15! That's a day earlier than I've been getting positive opk using the digital kind. I've read conflicting information about whether you ovulate the first or second peak day, so we will BD again tomorrow just in case. Hopefully, we catch the egg this time!

@lioneyes: those lines aren't faint at all!! You are super super preggo!! Congratulations. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

@wonderstruck: thank you honey, I know it's still been such a short time for me. I just worry because of so many factors that exist in my situation. I'm gonna try to be patient and stay hopeful for a couple more months though.

Glad to see so much going well in this board. I'd love to see at least one BFP a day!

thanks everyone! i am so shocked (also shocked it's so dark at 8dpo!) but i am pretty positive on O date- tracked using wondfos, and i had 2 days of positives before a morning positive, evening negative on Fri, 1/24, so that was O day.

soooo guess i just have to wait it out until my first U/S. going to make an appointment monday, hopefully can have it at 8 weeks!

and yes, @torchwood, the possibility of twins has already crossed my mind- there is someone on here who i totally remember testing, getting a super dark early line, and just KNOWING it was twins (and it was!)
