@Adira: ((jumping up and down in agreement)) I was just having this conversation with two friends last night. We are all TTC #2 and just so *not* into it. That is why I promised myself that we would just work on EOD this cycle. Now that DD is mostly weaned and I am off BCP, I am finally feeling a little like myself again, so I kind of feel like I owe it to DH and our marriage to at least try EOD (which doesn't really sound that bad/like too much pressure).

@dc yoga bee: You,too! February 14th will likely be really early for me (around 9 DPO, probably), but whatever... early and often, baby!

@septca: haha, I'll be lucky if I work my way up to EOD this cycle!!! (Actually, HUBS will be lucky, if you know what I mean...) But last cycle lasted 40+ days and I ovulated late and had a short LP, so I think that's part of why I'm just not excited about the whole thing. Plus I'm still breastfeeding/pumping pretty regular, so I'm kind of expecting more of the same. I don't think I can keep up the EOD for weeks, haha. When we were TTC for #1, we only managed to do EOD during the WEEK I was expecting to ovulate (so maybe 3 or 4 times total), and now that I don't know when to even expect it, I'm just all uggggggh about it!

I can't believe it's February POA time... I got my BFP 2/4 last year! Time flies! We had a ton of BFP's last February so I hope for the same for you all!!!!

@Adira: Ha ha. Perhaps I wasn't clear... we only started EOD at CD15 (I expect I will O around CD20-22)... so it's really not that heavy a lift.

@dc yoga bee: I would absolutely BD tonight. I really regret not going for it on my second peak day last month. You could still ovulate with sticky CM. the day I conceived my son was O day and I had sticky CM. it was the only day we DTD and I got pregnant. Cover your bases I say.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@MrsMccarthy: le sigh lol. We wouldn't be able to until 9pm, but if DH is feeling better, I'll see if we can get one.more.day lol! He stayed home with a bad migrane. We have bd the past 4 out of 5 days though, so I would think we are good with bding yesterday on first peak day?
honeydew / 7295 posts
@HolisticMama: I'm sorry you are feeling so upset. Stress and so many things can change your cycle. Perhaps all that soy is to blame? Perhaps stress? Or maybe you truly are pregnant. Either way don't beat yourself up. This TTC stuff is a total headgame and really the Pitts.
@Adira: I'm so with you! CD9 over here and we won't be able to BD at all till CD16 because I leave you New York soon. In a way I'm relived even though I know it will hurt our chances. I feel like all that pressure to get it on is not sexy for me or my hubs. I just hope I don't magically ovulate early this month after months of ovulation on CD18 or 20 because that would really be a bummer to have NO chance.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsMccarthy: I'm sure you probably won't ovulate early!! Enjoy your trip and then come back and just start BDing like crazy! But I hear you about how the pressure doesn't make it sexy AT ALL!!! Ugh.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@dc yoga bee: It wouldn't hurt to DTD tonight, but then again I don't know if it would necessarily help especially since DH might not be up to it. You probably have a substantial number of swimmers in your fallopian tubes just waiting for that egg, if it hasn't already been released!
@MrsMccarthy: I'm sure you will O at your normal time, maybe even later if you stress about it! Just enjoy your time away and then BD like crazy like @Adira: says!
@HolisticMama: I am on board with everything you said. Like, seriously. It's so hard and we just want to be like those other girls who were a one and done couple. My friend wanted to have a baby and her DH was a little reluctant (he's a worry wart) but then he finally decided that now was as good a time as any. A couple of days later, she was pregnant. No joke. She lived in my neighborhood and came over right after she POAS! I was also in my OB rotation in school and was preparing for an exam so I had all of this baby information around me while she told me this. I wasn't TTC then, but I was still in awe that she had beat all the odds I was learning about right then!
And now I am 3 cycles in, not much at all, and I'm already feeling impatient. I am just happy to finally O today because damn, it's about time! We BDed a really great schedule (O-6, O-3, O-2, O-1, O) so I'm just crossing my fingers that third times a charm!
nectarine / 2358 posts
@dc yoga bee: Girl. I. Am. Sore. And poor DH should really get all the credit, that ish is HARD lol. I was thinking about how you're supposed to feel more sexual around O but I haven't had a chance to! We go in spurts of DTD normally, sometimes 2 weeks between then once a day for like 3 days then a week later. Definitely not this schedule.

@Mrs.Panda: I think even DH is tired of dtd!!! Im going to call him at lunch and see if he will feel up to just one more day!!! I know I dont even want to think about the word sex!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Adira: Oh my goodness, yes. DTD this time around was like pulling teeth for me- I just was not into it. Its hard work and its exhausting, and just ugh. I mean, I love my DH with all my heart, but something about OPKs and timing and CM make it all so unsexy.
@HolisticMama: Hugs, friend. I am also with you on wanting to be normal. I also get jealous of those people that get KU and tell everyone on the first day, and just glide effortlessly through pregnancy. I wish it were that easy.
@dc yoga bee: @Mrs.Panda: I applaud everyone that can do it that many days in a row, I am always worn.out. after that many days of BDing. Makes me wonder how those couples do it multiple times a day!
@MrsMccarthy: Have fun on your trip, and I am sure you wont miss your window!
Another stark white BFN for me today at CD10. I am hoping it just too early... I am now wondering if seeing BFNs is better than just waiting it out...
nectarine / 2358 posts
@dc yoga bee: Good luck convincing him! Hopefully he'll have one more day in him haha but don't worry if not
@Crystal: At the very real risk of giving TMI, on our honeymoon in October you would have thought we were horny teenagers! We were gone for almost two weeks and pretty much every day, multiple times a day! I don't know what happened but hell, I don't see it happening again ever lol
nectarine / 2079 posts
@dc yoga bee: I think you already hit your best chances, and anything else at this point is probably just bonus. The sperm thrive in the good CM for days. I really hope this is your month!
@Mrs.Panda: Lol. My husband does ALL the work.
nectarine / 2028 posts
@Crystal: I decided after my 11DPO BFN today that I'm going to wait it out. Too much pressure for me! Hoping your pretty BFP is on the way!

Ladies who want to test early and often but hate seeing BFNs: What about starting at 11 DPO instead of like 8? Because almost everyone is going to have a BFN at 8 DPO and seeing those white tests day after day is hard...
I feel bad because I am such a POAS pusher, but if testing early isn't for you, that is SOOOOO okay. ((hugs))
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Mrs.Panda: We were like that when we first moved in together, but even on our honeymoon we weren't that crazy.
Though I also 100% believe this is due in large part to the fact that we are in awful shape right now. We are much heavier and not as active as we once were.
We currently have a campaign going that we call "Better health for better sex" lol. We have been trying to go to the gym more often and eat more healthily.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@septca: I agree, I am going to try to hold out to 11DPO which is V-Day. My POAS date isn't technically until 2/17 though.

Just got off the phone with DH, he is not well. 48hrs with a migraine, so I called to see if we need a referral for neurologist. When i called the doctor, I told them we have bcbs, and they told him to come,in immediately since its been 48hrs. Pretty sure there will be no bd tonight.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Radish: My husband does too. I tell him he is the O-Week MVP, lol.
@ChiCalGoBee: I think I will try again on Wednesday, but skip tomorrow.
@septca: I guess I hoped even a shadow of a line would appear? Especially since that thread you posted about the earliest you have seen a BFP- many voted <10DPO.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@dc yoga bee: Oh no your poor hubs! I hope he feels better, that is so miserable. Will they see him same day? That's awesome!
nectarine / 2358 posts
@Crystal: I had a friend who didn't get positive HPTs throughout her *very evident* pregnancies. Healthy baby girls, both times!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Crystal: I know. Those numbers always give me hope, too. But I didn't get a BFP until 10 DPO and it was *barely* there. Seriously - my beta was a 7 (5 or less is a negative). I can't stop myself from testing early, but I don't get down until I see a BFN at 12 DPO. After that, I don't test because I just don't think there is any point (although of course people will jump in and say they didn't get a + until later).
nectarine / 2079 posts
@septca: I am an enabler also - I want everyone to test early and often. I also like to see examples of early BFN turned BFP. I got my faint line at 8/9dpo last time, so I don't think there is any way I can hold off longer this time. An early BFN doesn't bother me as much as not knowing what a PG test would say.
@Mrs.Panda: AF isn't due for me until Feb 16 or so, but I am testing early because I won't see my husband the rest of the week and if there is an ever slim chance of having a faint line before I leave I will test. Otherwise I would prob not start until the 11/12th - I don't think there is any way I could last until the 14th or I would hold out with you.

@Mrs.Panda: They offered to,but he says hurts too bad to drive, and I'm not closer enough to get him to the appointment on time
Eta: Thanks for the well wishes. Hopefully this one passes and he has an appointment later this week, and I will take off work. I didn't want to not bd bc he's ill, but his well-being is more important.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@dc yoga bee: Oh no, I would say grab a taxi then! Or if he can't handle the light and movement, maybe he can wait until tomorrow, but I'm a LET'S GO NOW kinda girl.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Mrs.Panda: he said its the light. I've been trying to get him to be seen for years. I am putting my foot down now lol. But enough about that, don't want to be a debbie downer. Anyone poas today?!?!

@dc yoga bee: UGH, migraines are the worst. I can't believe he's had one for 48 hours - hopefully he can get in and be seen soon! And I hope he feels better.

@dc yoga bee: I did. BFN at 12dpo, so pretty sure I'm out! Sigh.

@theotherstark: Thank you!! I'm kicking myself for letting them go on so long...

@Radish: ha ha, me too. Plus, I like to drink a lot of wine during the TWW, so I *need* to *know* what an HPT would say.
@dc yoga bee: I am so sorry your husband is not feeling well!

@dc yoga bee: I don't think there are any POASers for a couple of days
Does anyone research baby stuff like crazy? I am currently obsessed with strollers. I am going between the Britax (not sure of b-agile or b-ready), the Peg Perego Book Plus and various UPPAbaby styles. I am sick.
OH and names! DH and I can't agree on boy names! I know we have a while, but I am a planner, if you couldn't tell.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@septca: Thank you! ! I wish I liked wine. I would feel like more of an adult, but it all tastes gross to me! With all the vineyards in town it really bugs dh that we can't go wonetasting, as we would waste my ticket lol. I just tried a sample yesterday of some Cupcake brand. Label was cute, wine gross!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Mrs.Panda: I'm obsessed with strollers, but quit looking after month 2 lol. Bugaboo makes me swoon. Everyone and their mamma had one at the outlets last time we went. I hadn't heard of itas we weremt ttc, but it looked like a cadillac stroller! We have girl name narrowed down to either Reagan, Ava, or Zoe. No boy names whatsoever. ...

@Mrs.Panda: Yep, I definitely had a crazed 'must research all the gear' phase this TWW! You're not alone.
