@creativemomma15: @Mrsjets: I have been there! I was TERRIFIED of the first few days alone with both of them, but you will figure it out! The biggest adjustment I had was getting use to the idea that someone will have to wait, and that might mean tears. I remember feeling so bad that DS (aka LO #2) would have to cry in the swing while I put DD (aka LO#1) down for a nap. Even now, DD is 3.5 years old and DS is 21 months, one will have a breakdown because he or she can't get what he or she wants first!

If either of you feel overwhelmed or worried about LO#2, feel free to wall me! I think the jump from 1 to 2 is just as stressful as 0 to 1.

i am having a similar experience as andrea above -- one just has to wait and cry a bit while the other one is tended to :). I also give a fair deal of attention to LO#1 when I can, as he can understand more of what is going on. I have found that everything with LO#2 is wayyyyy easier than it was with #1! I don't know if it's him, or if it's me! Sleeping, eating, everything is better and easier. Take it a day, an hour, a minute at a time and every week will be easier!

I had in-house help (my mom) for the first 4 weeks after he was born -- that was invaluable. is there anyone who will be able to stay with you? your dh, your mom, etc? my dh had to go back to work right after he was born, unfortunately.

LO#1 is 18 months now, and LO#2 is 2 months now.

You are going to do great!! It'll be hard, but worth it in the end
