Using shared laundry would certainly be tough I'm sure it is possible if you are determined to do it, but I wouldn't feel guilty about setting them aside until a later time! You can always even start CD'ing when they are older, if you end up living elsewhere later on! It's never too late (while they are still in dipes, of course hehe)! Or you can just do it part time -- that is what we are doing. Sometimes we use our CD's every day of the week, and other times I don't use them for a whole week or more!

@Mrs.Jacks: "I bought these CD's with hard earned money, you better wear them!!" hehe....

I do think it would be really hard with shared, coin op laundry. It would help some if you are home during the day when most people in your building are at work, though, so you have the machines. I don't know how much money you would be saving though, paying for the extra laundry like that.
