so i went on fertilityfriend.com and created an account and chart to keep track of what is going on with everything, but apparently it was wrong on my fertile days and ovulation day because i got negatives but i am staying positive and still testing everyday around 3pm, anyone else have this problem as well on the site, or maybe i just entered everything wrong? this is all so confusing to me

if this is your first cycle entering your info it is just guessing when it thinks it will be based on an average cycle, once you've used it for a few cycles it will be able to better predict things for you.

By testing, you mean OPKs? Ovulation tests? I found that it took a few months before FF could accurately pinpoint my fertile and ovulation days, and even then I relied more on the OPKs because FF was sometimes off by a day either way. I think the first month it's just sort of uses a typical cycle.
As for the tests, I actually took them like 3x a day--once in the morning with FMU, once in the afternoon (between 2-4) and once before bed. The month I conceived DS I only got a positive in the AM.
Also, I don't know if they still do it but FF used to have a free charting course. I'd get an email from them every morning for a few weeks teaching me how to chart. Or you could pick up a copy of TCOYF...I found it very helpful as well.

Yes FF has weekly emails and a free ebook! I thought both were really helpful. Truthfully, it might be best to just have sex and see what happens for the first couple months. Enter your period into FF and let it keep track of your cycle. Don't stress as much about OPKs and whatnot in the meantime. Especially if its hard to understand right now!

@BrentLee88: also if you're feeling really lost in all this, the clear blue easy fertility monitor is a bit pricey, but it takes all the guess work out of things. I looove mine! It tells you exactly when you should be BDing & you don't have to worry about interpreting OPKs or waiting to see O on your chart after the fact.

@LindsayInNYC: yeah that free ebook would really be helpful for me! lol and we have been having sex either way just to see what happens,thanks for the FF advice i will keep letting it keep track of my cycles, i will try and relax more about the OPK lol idk why it gets me all stressful haha like u said just trying to understand it all

This is only my second month charting and my first month temping and I can promise you that after a cycle or two, the charts begin to make sense! And the other ladies were right on the free course to help you understand. I scoured those for a week and everything really started to come together after that!
