We'll be traveling to visit my family for Thanksgiving. 7-8 hours depending on traffic. Ideas on a festive dessert that will travel well and keep without refrigeration for that long?

Last year we made fudgy brownies and added little pre-made sugar santas in the center of each one. Just found them in the baking aisle at the grocery store. They were a easy, traveled well, looked so cute, and were a hit with the kids!

Pumkin Walnut Cake - Easy, delicious, festive.... has a more bread like texture similar to a banana bread so you can serve it naked
Ingredients
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups veg oil
8 oz can pumpkin
1 cup chopped walnutsDirections
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl
With a mixer beat eggs and slowly add in sugar
Mix in oil
While mixing alternate adding pumpkin and dry ingredients
Stir in walnuts
Bake in an ungreased bundt pan at 350° for 1 hourServe it naked, dusted with powdered sugar or topped with cream cheese icing
