I didn't get too many questions, besides from close friends that I don't mind. The one question I have had and heard a lot is "was it natural?" referencing the birth. I think what they mean was "vaginal or csection" but no one wants to say vaginal. But yeah in general I think pregnancy gives people brain farts.

I've had multiple people asking for updates on how dilated I am. Whatever. I'm so over it, I just answer. If they are ballsy enough to ask the question, then they'll get the answer. I've stopped caring, ha!

A lot of people recommend sex. I've had SEVERAL people also recommend nipple stimulation, which for some reason I find far more awkward/intimate than the sex suggestion.

No questions of that nature at work. Actually, none from family either.

I mainly had those questions from family and my boss. My boss was concerned that I would go into labor at work both times. Never happened. My brother asked me some of the TMI questions about labor and delivery after having gone through it twice with his wife. My mom just said that he was concerned and wanted to know where I was in labor/delivery with my kids.

@DesertDreams88: I once had a woman follow me around the grocery store telling me that if I had sex, DH needed to come inside me to make it more effective. She wanted to know alllll sorts of things about my vag and cervix that I would be perfectly happy to tell my best friend. In a grocery store, at 10 p.m., to a complete stranger? Ummm, no thanks!

@DesertDreams88: Yes, I felt this way a lot! I'm extremely private and hated all the questioning from people, especially my family. I was able to avoid it with my first LO- he was breech and a scheduled c-section. This time, my doctor wanted me to try a VBAC and I had to field all sorts of questions about VBACs. There was also lots of unsolicited advice on how to recover from delivery. I'm 3 weeks pp and I think it's finally over now!

After the birth, my friends all wanted to talk about the nitty gritty details, which worked out because I was so excited to talk about everything! Sometimes it was couples, sometimes just women. I didn't mind, although I'm naturally reserved about SUPER personal things like poo on the table or whatnot... I just think you become part of a cool "club" after you give birth, and for a while, many people want to talk about it and bond over it. But it never came up with coworkers.

I don't mind detailed inquiries from friends...most of them are TTC for the first time, so I understand the curiosity. I somehow feel weirder about family/ILs knowing details about my vag. With LO1, I had a bajillion questions from friends/family/coworkers and even patients. I had one patient ask if I tore and if I was "ok down there" LOL. I guess I ask them personal questions all of the time... but I was totally caught off guard... I laughed and said everything went smoothly (even though it didn't)
