I usually use TurboTax, unless there's a complex situation in which case I ask my business accountant to file for us.
How about you?

My dad uses turbo tax to do ours, but he also writes income tax software so he has some more intimate knowledge of tax ins and outs.

I've always used TurboTax but this year things were complicated (moved states, had a nanny, changed jobs, etc.). I got so overwhelmed with TT that I ended up going to H&R Block. It was surprisingly helpful, and the number they said we owed was $5k less than what I'd been getting with TT, so totally worth it.

We hire someone. He's super reasonable though so it's worth it.

A CPA. We used to use turbotax but our acct was telling is about the turbotax hack and something like 20 states aren't even accepting TT returns this year.

When I was single I Turbo Tax and loved it! But DH has an unusual profression (for tax purposes anyway) so we've been using an accountant.

In my single years went to a tax preparer, then started using Turbo Tax. After getting married, we go to a family member who is a CPA.

We use a CPA since owning our business. Prior to that, I filed for me and DH by myself using the online program through H&R Block.

We use H&R Block, but I wonder if it would be cheaper to use an accountant. The price at H&R Block goes up every year, and our taxes are not that complicated.

We've used an accountant in the past, but now we use TurboTax. My husband's pretty good with it and even though he's not an American citizen and subject to additional reporting, he's been able to figure it out. I, on the other hand, have never done my own taxes!

TaxAct - we've been pretty happy with it in years past. This year our taxes are going to get a bit more complicated, so I'm not sure what are plans are going to be for taxes next year

TurboTax in under an hour. My software architect husband laughed at some of the stuff where it flat out said it was animation and idiot proof.

I did my own online when I was single but we've used an accountant since getting married. Our taxes vary in complexity year to year, and I want to make sure they're done right.

We use turbotax, it doesn't take very long since we don't make much money, have no children and own no property I did them on a lunch break back in February.
