I've been working on the playroom lately, and finally got the ABC wall done this weekend. It was a giant pain in the butt, so I'm just proud it's done. I still have a ton of work to do on the room, but this feels like a giant accomplishment. Actually, anything feels like an accomplishment with a 7 month old. 
The bottom half is chalkboard paint. And please disregard the keg. I promise it's not permanent.

Ok that is adorable! Did you have all your guests bring a letter to the baby shower or did you collect on your own?

@anonysquire: I've never heard of the shower idea, but that's pretty smart. I've just been collecting them for a while. Hobby Lobby, anthropologie, urban outfitters and restoration hardware. When letters went on clearance, I snatched them up.

@bree72: Cool, my little sister did that with the first letter of her last name and made the wall in her living room. It looks really cool. I love your ABC ones though.
For the shower I guess you asign everyone a letter and they bring that with their gift. Atleast I think that how it goes.

@runnerd: . The first one I saw was way before Pinterest even existed, on a Weddingbee post. I bookmarked it and told myself that when I had a kid, i'd find some where to do this.
Thanks ladies! Turns out, hanging 26 letter takes like 3 hours and 2 full nap times. so I'm glad it's not awful.

@Bao: Maybe $3-$4 / letter when it was all said and done. You could probably do it cheaper if you spent more than the month I spent searching. I just hit up the 50% off sales at hobby lobby, the clearance section at restoration hardware, and as many other sales as I could. Some of them aren't even made for wall hanging. The H was on clearance at Steinmart, but was meant to stand. I added hooks to hang. Also, RH had the p, q , f, & w for $.99 each and I just modge podged scrapbook paper to make them different. They still have quite a few left for that price in the p q font.

@regberadaisy: Yup. I actually wanted it forever ago, just because I liked it, but had no reason to buy it (plus it doesn't exactly go with our house). When I started working on the playroom, I finally had somewhere to put it, so I waited for a 20% off + free shipping sale and grabbed it.
