What are some fine motor activities that your toddler enjoys doing? My LO is almost 2.5 and wanted to find some things around the house I could use to make her a few activities to work on these skills.

One thing that daycare is doing a lot is stringing. Using anything basically to try string cheerios. So fuzzy sticks or even shoelaces.
Cutting paper is one we are starting to work on too

Pipe cleaners through strainer holes. Stacking Cheerios on pieces of spaghetti in playdoh. There are tons on ideas on Pinterest!

Lego and similar blocks. They're the only things that will keep him playing quietly for half an hour. Also playing with shells, seeds, and beads, but then I have to watch him like a hawk to make sure he doesn't eat one or toss them all under the furniture. The beads thing usually ends in drama when I get tired of watching and try to get him to move on to a different toy

blocks, playdoh, puzzles, magnets, sticker backed gems she sticks onto foam sheets, painting, sorting exercises (I give her tricolor uncooked pasta and she sorts them by color into different jars), lacing boards, latch boards, and her favorite but my least favorite - kinetic sand.

beads on pipe cleaners and lego are the current favourites. Might have to try the cheerios on spaghetti in playdough this weekend though!
