I'm watching reruns on TV (even though I can totally watch them on Netflix anytime I want, lol) and I'm wracking my brain for why, why, WHY DID THEY CAMCEL THIS SHOW???? I love it so much, I want more episodes! And no, the movie was not enough for me. Anyone else?

Yeah, I watched the movie and just wasn't as impressed as I was with the whole series. I never saw it air originally but after watching Firefly, it made me love Castle even more.
ETA: Okay, coffee wore off a looooooooooong time ago. Let me rephrase. Yes! I've seen the whole series and watched the movie (on Netflix). I never saw them on the air originally, just heard mention of them from time to time. I watched the series before Castle ever aired, though, and it made me love watching Castle even more.

DH and I went skiing for part of our honeymoon. Unbeknownst to me, he brought the Firefly series with him. Good thing, too, because one day it was raining, and we stayed in the cabin and watched the.whole.damn.series. I love it! There is just very little better than quick, witty banter, even if it's so witty that it's unrealistic.

Holy OMG yes! Mr. Hedgie and I are huge fans. Seriously live that show. It made his day seeing the topic make it on the boards. Lol. We are super nerds and quote it all the time. You should have seen how starstruck he was when he got to meet the actor who plays Jane. Oh and he already bought a Jane hat for LO to go with his.
Also, it got cancelled because FOX doesn't know a good thing them it has it. Also they hate Joss Whedon.

Love firefly! We've got the season on DVD. I wasn't as much a fan of the movie. My fave line is "two by two, hands of blue..." think of it whenever I go through security in the airport! or "bullet in the brain pan... squish!"

I love Firefly and I also love when they reference it on Castle. My DH never gets the joke though, since he won't watch Firefly. I keep trying to convince him he'll love it!

LOVE Firefly!!!!! I'm still so sad it was canceled, though I totally blame FOX for airing it out of order and then taking it off the air for a MONTH so they could do baseball playoffs! Of COURSE it didn't get good ratings!!! Grrrrrr
And I LOVE the Firefly references on Castle! And it's always fun when they have a little cast reunion on that show!

Oh my goodness, DH and I just finished watching the season and movie and we are obsessed! Such a great show, and so sad there aren't any more episodes.
DH just created a Jaynestown on SimCity. When I say obsessed, I mean it!

I've wanted to watch it on Netflix (it always recommends it to me) .. but I am afraid to watch it and fall in love then know I won't ever see more episodes! I have over-commitment issues when it comes to TV.
