Where did you buy the thing that goes in front of your fireplace? I'm not sure what they are called! 
Looks like the carpet installers left a water bottle in there!

Do you have a hearth? Like a seat in front of the fireplace? I can't really tell from the pictures, but we built a cushion for our fireplace hearth and we love it. I posted the tutorial on my blog.

I think there are online retailers that sell only fireplace screens! Although I got mine from Crate and Barrel. I'd definitely recommend measuring the space you want to cover, because my screen turned out to be the wrong size, oops. I'm still searching for the one I really want - a black lattice with gold dots.

Mine came with the house and is like a little curtain. I hate it, and DS is always getting in there and playing with the little lava rocks we have in there (and trying to eat them).
Does anyone know where you can get a completely child proof fireplace cover? I have looked and didn't come up with anything good.
