We invited 40 and 35 came, 9 of which were kids and spent $421. I'm working on a price budget breakdown post but waiting on pics from my friend! When is your party?

We bought beer in bulk at BJs. Decide on a menu early on so you can stock up and watch for sales beforehand. We knew we were doing chicken/steak ke bobs so we bought chicken when it was on sale weeks ago.

We DIYed all decorations. Baked both cakes and made all the food.

I think the key is to not go crazy buying stuff bc it works with your theme. There were things I wanted but then I would think well would I really use this after the party? If I said no then I didn't buy it. I think that's when you completely blow your budget buying knick knacks here and there. It might not end up looking like the most amazing blog worthy party...but I'd rather not blow my budget! hahha

And oh buy stuff from dollar store, watch Michaels sales for crafting stuff, use their 50%off coupon etc. Check eBay too, ie I used peat pots for the herbs and got like 30 of them for $6 on eBay.
