We had ours at 4pm. It worked out great with nap times and our neighbors who came (who have kids) said it was great for their kids (ages 1.5 - 6) as well. I wish we had done cake a LITTLE sooner since bedtime is normally 7pm and that night, it wasn't until i9:30 b/c of the sugar rush!!

We did 2-4 p.m. . . . I tried to avoid naps as best possible, but at that time my LO usually napped around 12:30, and also has a pretty early bedtime (6-6:30 pm), so I didn't want to run too close to her bedtime.

We're having D's 2-5. He usually naps 12-2 or 1-3, so we'll just try to make sure he goes down closer to 12 that day.

We were told she would be in the next room at day by then and they nap 11:30-2:30. She always naps earlier at home so I figured we would be good with 2-4. Now she might not be.....so we are just going to have to wing it.

Thanks everyone. I am thinking maybe we will do 4pm so it is after naps and we can do dinner. We are going to cater BBQ. A lot of people around here do kids parties at like 10am, but since most of his guests will be adults and some older kids, I think 4 would work better. Plus I just can't do cake at at 10 in the morning!

We started around 3 and served dinner at 5 or 5:30. DS usually goes to be around 7 but he stayed up a little later that day.

At the time she was napping 9.30-11.30 and 3.30 to 5 so we had the party at noon and it was great! Now that she is on one nap, we will probably plan for 4pm in the future.

11:00. LO napped beforehand and woke up as the party started. He went down for a nap after eating and blowing out candles. He didn't get a chance to open presents though.
