No advice, only commiseration! My LO cries watching Daniel Tiger, hahaha. Such a tender soul. The only thing he watches with out crying lately is Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Maybe a movie is out there featuring him? Unfortunately most of the kiddie flicks have a good vs. evil/bad aspect so I have a feeling we will not be watching them for some time.

Aw! LO (newly 2) did well with Finding Nemo but I did notice her being worried about Nemo and Marlin. 101 Dalmatians on the other hand was rough!

What about character movies? There is a Sofia the First movie, Curious George movies, Thomas & Friends movies, etc.

I have this problem with my youngest - big brother's favorite movie is Frozen and my youngest starts to cry every time the snow monster comes after Anna and Kristoff. I do NOT recommend Monsters Inc for the sensitive kid - even if the scenes with monsters in the rooms doesn't scare her, I'm betting the scene where Randall has Boo in that machine will.

I recommend Lilo and Stitch!

My sensitive son was okay with Cars and Wall-E at 2.

Awwww sad but adorable. Don't feel bad. I let my two year old watch the thriller video the other day. I thought she would like the dancing, but I forgot how scary (and totally not age appropriate) the beginning is. Luckily, she had no idea what was happening and only half paid attention anyway. Mommy fail.

I was very sensitive and always had a hard time with the Disney movies when I was very little. So far my son does not seem to be at all. We are surprised because DH and I were both very sensitive kiddos.

I have this same problem and my son is almost 5! I am actually surprised at some of the elements in the Pixar movies!

Is Madagascar a good choice?

@abbydabbydoodlebug: The monsters don't scare her at all. The first scaring scene in the beginning is goofy (the monster falls down on his bum) so it wasn't scary to her at all. And she loved Mike and Sully and of course Boo Baby.
