Well, I wish it was under better circumstances, but I will be taking Sawyer on his first plane trip in less than a week.
Unfortunately, my maternal grandfather who lives in another province collapsed the night of Christmas day, and died on the 27th. We were still in Calgary with my Mom when it happened and she got the news. She flew out to be with my Omi that night, and I made the arrangements for me, my sister, my dad, myself and Sawyer to fly out the day before the funeral and stay for a few days.
Unfortunately, my DH and BIL are unable to attend because they can't get time off of work, and my other sister and he BF are visiting his family in Australia, so obviously she won't be making it back.
I am really hoping things go smoothly, it is a really short flight, and my Aunt who lives in Vancouver has arranged to borrow a high chair and play pen for me there, and my accommodations are arranged as well.
I have looked into our baggage allowance, and I am going to try to bring our full sized stroller instead of buying an umbrella stroller (I can check my full sized one normally if need be, and just carry Sawyer, especially since I am travelling with 2 extra sets of hands). If I can gate check it all the better!
I should have a little down time in the next few days so I have to go back and read all the travelling with babies info!
