I finished my Dr Seuss chair for BabyDeux's nursery!!! Definitely a lot of work but I LOVE it!!
Now DH is going to attach rocking chair feet to it and I'll sew a skirt to cover them. It also reclines (since DH fixed the reclining mechanism after we bought it). I spent $20 on the chair, $50 on fabric, and all other supplies we had on hand.

@Lindsay05: I worked on it over the course of just over two weeks and primarily worked while DS1 napped. I had a few friends make the comment they wish they had the energy I did and my response is - I go to bed between 830 and 9, lol!
When you have expensive taste but a tiny budget you have to put the work in yourself!

Thanks everyone! I'm letting a friend borrow my staple gun while I borrow his jigsaw today so DH and i are getting ready to start the rocker part of it...

And now it rocks (thanks to DH). Since he used scrap wood it was a "free" upgrade! I'm actually not sure if I want to sew a skirt for itor not...

It reclines and rocks making it the most comfortable chair everrrrrrr.
