So, B took his first steps today. Yay! How long from taking steps to legit walking? B will be 1 at the end of the month.

YAY!!
It's been WEEKS since M took her first steps and she still refuses to walk. My nephew can clearly walk but still refuses to walk and crawls 99% of the time.
ETA: I think it was a week or two before her birthday as well. Then yesterday she took steps again, twice! We'll see.

Wooohoo! Walking is so exciting! It took DD like a week to go from first steps to full on walking; it took DS almost two months. He's just a lot more cautious than his sister.

Yay!! LO took her first steps 3 weeks ago but has been cautious ever since banging her head against the table. I know she has the capabilities, as each step is purposeful. I'm giving it another month or so!

I think it was close to a month. As soon as he figured out how to stand up on his own he really started walking!

@littlek: LO has taken steps by herself but she still doesnt walk and its been over a week or two. I think it just depends on their confidence level and my LO is scared

My LO took his first steps somewhere between 12 and 13 months but he still doesn't walk yet at 14.5 months. He's taken up to 7 steps. He will stand up and stare at us contemplating whether or not he will walk and just chooses to turbo crawl instead!
