We are going to the outer banks when she is 9 weeks. I have no idea how it will go!

We took our first trip, which was only a few days long, when LO was 9 weeks. Our first long trip was at 8.5 months. We still haven't gone out of town without her.

We went to Lake Tahoe for a long weekend w/ DD at 3 months. I'm not entirely sure that counts though, since it was just a 4 hour drive away, and we only stayed for 2 nights. Our first big weeklong vacation that involves a flight probably won't happen until DD is at least 9 months old. We'll fly to North Carolina for Christmas, and we might do a beach-y vacation in January. I can't imagine when our first trip w/out our daughter will be, but I bet it won't happen for a few years...

As a family, we went on a car trip to a kinderhotel at 4 months. It was super easy because whatever you could possibly need was provided.
First air trip was at 6 months and my first solo trip with my son was another air trip at 8 months to the beach.

Our first full vacation was to Hawaii for two weeks when LO was 4 months old. She did super great. She handled the flight well...slept the whole time, both coming and going. She adjusted to the time change pretty well. She's almost 7 months now and we haven't gone on a vacation without her yet.

We flew across the country with LO when he was 4 months old for a week-long vacation.
We probably won't go on vacation without LO until he is weaned from the boob :).

We went camping when lo was 3 months. She's a year on Sunday and still no vacation without her. I don't see it happening for awhile. We'll take it slow and ease into it with sleepovers at the grandparents first.

It's not a full vacation, but LO will stay with her grandparents next month for 1 night so my husband and I can go celebrate our anniversary at a nice resort - LO will be almost 12 weeks old then.
In Jan we are flying down to NC with LO, and in March we'll fly out to CA with her.

DD 1 went on vacay at around 5 months old... DD 2 at around 4 weeks old. Have yet to take a vacay without kids, and my eldest is almost 4.5 yo now. I think we will wait til the little one is at least 3 or 4... Not sure.

We went to FLorida when LO was 6.5 months old. It wasn't much of a vacation, to say the least. Good weather, and good experience but...It wasn't at all relaxing.

@yoursilverlining: aww that sounds nice!
We took a day trip to Toronto when she was a month to visit my aunts. Then at 2 months we took a weekend trip to NYC to visit family. Neither of those are really vacations though. I'm hoping to do a weekend getaway in the Fall to our favorite cabin (where we got engaged!) with baby. It'll be a late birthday celebration for my husband!

We went to visit my family when LO was almost 3 months old. On that same trip, we left LO with my parents and spent 3 days in Lake Tahoe and went snowboarding and attended a wedding'

I will likely fly from TN to MA with the baby before the end of my maternity leave. Probably around the time the baby is 10 weeks?
