I got a mandatory flu vax through work several months ago, but I ended up with a different strain of flu this week! Has this happened to anyone else? Lucky me 
Thankfully it's much milder than it has been in the past for me.

Yes - I got the flu shot in October at my 1st prenatal visit. I got the flu about 3 weeks ago. Pregnant with the flu sucked!

DD got a flu shot this year, and she is just getting over a nasty bug that the doctor things was probably a form of influenza. Presumably it was one of the strains that this year's shot didn't protect against. Luckily DH and I didn't get it.

Last year DH and DS got the flu shot and they got the flu and gave it to me.

I hope you feel better soon! This actually happened to me during my 2nd trimester last year. I got my flu shot during the 1st trimester, and ended up with a mild flu several weeks later. No fun!

@grizz: This happened to me this year for the first time ever. Because of my compromised immune system, I have to get the shot. Well, my husband brought home a strain of flu the shot didn't cover. Thankfully, I was able to get in to see my doctor soon enough to start Tamiflu so I didn't have serious complications.
Hope you feel better soon. This has been such a nasty flu season. Hospitals in our area are seriously cracking down on visitors with flu-like symptoms and not allowing kids on the hospital campus unless they're the patient. It's been bad here.
