I got one from my OB last year while I was pregnant and I've already had one this year too. I don't want to risk getting the flu and exposing M and others. She'll get the flu shot at her appointment next week assuming that her pedi recommends it.

I get it every year and got one last fall when I was pregnant.

i got one both times i was pregnant..well with DS i got while i was pregnant because i was pregnant during the bulk of flu season. with DD i got a flu shot 1 month before conceiving her(had no idea i was going to get pregnant, since we weren't trying)

I used to get it f it was convenient but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. Then I actually got the flu and it was horrible! I got it last year right before I got pregnant and I will get it this year and am insisting that Dh does too. Lo is too young to get it so we need to protect ourselves for her.

Once kids are older ill probably go back to gettin it if its convenient.

I got one when pregnant and plan to get one this year as well.

I don't remember the last time I had the flu shot (at least 10+ years ago). I decided not to get it when I was pregnant with LO1 and most likely won't get it again with my second.

Historically, I never get it, but I did while I was pregnant and plan to this year.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and just got mine last night. I get it every year and did year before last when pregnant with #1. My husband got it too yesterday, and our son will once our pediatrician gets it in. The flu can be catastrophic for unborn babies, and that's not a risk I'm willing to take.

I get it every year. The one year they were under-stocked and only giving to "high risk" people, I got the flu and missed 2 weeks of work. LO got it yesterday, and I'm getting it at work October 3.

LO was born in September, so it just worked out that I never got it while pregnant, but I definitely would.

I am a stickler for getting preventive vaccines. It gives me peace of mind. I get a flu shot every year and even while I was pregnant, I got the flu shot & the one for whooping cough. I believe it really helped me a lot. I was pregnant during the winter/flu season last year and everyone around me was sick with all sorts of coughs, colds, and flu but I did not get sick at all.

I didn't before I got pregnant this last time. I got one last year and just got one yesterday.
I plan to vaccinate all three of the kids and DH plans to get one this year too.

I get it every year, and not just because I'm required for my job. And I got it last year while pregnant. I have to. I've seen the flu a few too many times at the hospital, and....yeah, no thanks!

@sosaysmegan: We did the same thing! Told all grandparents that they had to get the flu AND the TDap, or else they couldn't come visit. Not paranoid - flu is scary enough in adults, and whooping cough is no joke!

I don't usually get it, but I'm supposed to because I have asthma and if you get the flu with asthma you could end up in the hospital. This year I'm going to suck it up and get it because I'm pregnant, due in November, and some of the immunity is passed on to baby.

First time I got it was when I was pregnant. I will get it again this year to help protect my baby.
My husband works in a hospital, so we get a lot of exposure. I would anyway though.

I got one when I was pregnant, one last year, and will get one this year. DH and E will too.
