Did you get one for LO? We scheduled the 2-shot booster that she gets a month apart. She had her first one today and has been so cranky and unlile herself. She always STTN and was up,an hour after going down, crying.
I am debating keeping the appointment for the second booster! Right now it is scheduled to happen concurrently with her 1 year ahots.

We got the two shots for DD. She was fine after both doses. Hope your LO gets back to normal soon

Yep, the toddler and baby got them yesterday. We will get the second shot in a few weeks.
She cried for a few minutes after the shot but it didn't affect her sleep.
I hope C feels better soon!

E and I both got single dose flu shots, and he was cranky, clingy and overly tired, but that's his norm after most shots.

A has had both of hers (and didn't receive any other shots with them) and had no issues. I'm sorry C had a rough time.

So far we have not gotten LO a flu shot and we are not planning on it. DH and I never get it either. She is at home with one of us most of the time, doesnt go to daycare and really just isnt out of the house too much.

Our new pediatrician recommended NOT getting one which really surprised me (I'm definitely pro-vaccine). I read the following article and am now leaning towards not doing it, though I want to do more research

We all got ours recently, C had absolutely zero side effects from it. It surprised me since usually he's a little grumpy after getting shots, this time he was completely normal.

It is required in the state we live in for children attending daycare or school, so my son's flu shot is scheduled for November. This will be the first one he has had, he'll be 3 in December.
I had mine yesterday, and FWIW, I understand they use a new needle and I barely felt it going in at all.

We got it for Xander and did the same as you - two shots 4 weeks apart. His first one he got with his other 6 month shots and was NOT happy, but he got over the second one pretty quickly.

M was a little cranky after hers but I figure it's nothing compared to having the flu, so she'll be getting the second shot soon.

I struggle with every shot. I was a rehabilitation therapist who actually worked with someone who was officially vaccine injured and was paying me through her vaccine injury compensation funds. Brain damage. Scary.
BUT, I have also done public health work in 3rd world countries and seen the devastating results of not having vaccines.
@DillonLion: Mine is 18 months. Didn't get her the shot last year but I got it for the first time in a decade in hope that nursing her would offer some protection. Got it for her this year and am supposed to go back in a month, coinciding with 18month shots. I will not give her any thing but the flu shot that appt and space out the other shots over the next weeks. Crazy, and somewhat illogical, but it makes me feel better.

Yes, DD got her flu shot at her nine month wellness check, and so did me and DH! Her second one is next week.

Pete got the one dose shot with his 6 month vaccinations. I got my own flu shot on Monday. My arm is still sore!

I feel like since you already got through half of it, I'd just go through with the other shot. I feel like one day of crankiness is better than them getting the flu, but it's up to you. Of course the vaccine isn't 100% anyway, but I think I'd just go through with it. Also I'd watch her the next few days and see if maybe the crankiness could have been caused by something else.

I needed to revive this thread because we are new to flu shots. DD didn't get one during her first year of life but she will be getting hers tomorrow. Glad to read that some if your little ones didn't have too many side effects!
