would you rather throw a party at your home + backyard? or at a nearby park and rent some space?
We have the space at home... food/budget wise will be pretty similar. The only upside is that the park would have a playground and no messes in our house! But throwing the party at the house would be more convenient as far as setup/baby naps/etc.
Which would you prefer?

For me it depends on age of birthday child and the guest list.
If it's primarily family and close friends then always at home. When we start inviting daycare friends then I prefer out of the home.
ETA: duh. First birthday, always at home!

We don't have the space or a yard but if we did is much rather do it at home. Much easier than transporting not everything, worrying about the bathroom situation, keeping food hot or cold... Plus at a playground I feel like I'm always following my kid around instead of getting to talk to my friends that I'm there with (that depends on age I assume).

But I'd still always be more inclined to throw it at home... I'm confident I can buy/borrow stuff that will make for a fun party for any age!
