I was pregnant with the baby I lost last Mother's Day and although I'm so very lucky and thankful to be pregnant again, that baby is very much on my mind.

Thinking of all those mamas out there

this will always be a bitter sweet day for me. Lots of hugs to those still fighting.

On a side note, I've been trying to figure out a Facebook status that encompasses my feelings about Mother's Day (something about thinking about friends still struggling). Any ideas?

This weekend is a struggle for me. I was due 10 days ago and should be holding my second daughter in my arms now. Not to mention my SIL and I had the same due date and a few days ago she had a little girl. I'm overwhelmed with emotions. So thankful for the daughter I have, so sad for the one I lost. I am thinking of every one this weekend... The mothers with babies, the mothers who have lost babies and the moms to be. May everyone have a peaceful weekend.

Mama. I know how hard it is. I was pregnant for Mother's Day last year, only to lose the little one a month later. It's so hard. You are not alone! Solidarity hug.

This should have been my first mother's day with an infant.

And even though I'm newly pregnant again, the thought of tomorrow (not only church, where they bless mothers, but also a day with MIL who says the most awkward/horrible things out of ignorance) still fills me with fear. I can't let go of previous loss enough to be fully excited and happy and hopeful for this tiny baby.
