...when did it end? I just took a shower and realized clumps aren't coming out any more, and haven't been for a while. For me, I'd say 3.5-6 months were the worst of it.

About month 6, it stopped. It didn't start until about month 3, though

I think I'm over it now, at 7 months. I have really thick hair so I'm forever shedding but it was intense months 4-6.
I realized a few days ago I have 'wings' on the side of my head....like short hairs that stick out above my ears from hair/loss and breakage. They are terrible!

It started around 3 months and tapered off around 6 months.

My LO is 6.5 months and I just realized it has slowed down. I think mine started around 3 months.

Started at 3 months and ended at 6 months. Then it took another 9 months for it to start growing back in.

LO is 5.5 months and I was just noticing a couple days ago that my hair isn't falling out like it was. For about three weeks we couldn't enjoy a meal in this house without a lovely side of my hair in it.

@Mrs. Taco: omg yes! I have this crazy fringe of baby hair around my hairline...
@Sapphiresun: here too! And I am always afraid of baby eating hair.

Mine started around 4 months and now, at 6 months, I have noticed it slow a little, but I still am losing a Buttload of hair. I'm hoping it stops soon!

It started around 3 months and ended about 7 months, it was horrible!

My hair is a mess! I have a ton of "baby hairs" or broken hair right around my hairline and it just looks horrible. I think that the loss stopped around 3-4 months but the new growth needs to take it easy!

I have horns on my forehead! For the longest time, I thought I burned my hair with a straightening iron and it broke off! Ten I noticed my mom friend had it, too, lol

@Mrs. Taco: I am also suffering from wings all over!
My hair loss stopped sometime after six months

@Periwinkle: yes to the broken hair-it felt so weird running my hands through my hair for a while...the whole texture changed.
I'm wondering when everything will be back to normal? At least I'm not shedding like crazy any more!

My hair is really thick so it wasn't physically noticeable, but there was LOTS coming out every time I washed it. I'd say it slowed down some around 9-10 mo but I still now lose a lot of hair on a normal basis anyway, just not as much.

I'd say 3-7 months were the worst. Something of a horror show. It's significantly slowed down and started to grow back - which is even more hideous at times. 10.5 months pp.

I totally thought I'd escaped it, I had no idea it didn't start until 3 months PP. Blah. I guess here's to another few months!

I'm at 6 months, and I think it's starting to slow down a bit. Month 4 was when it started getting craaaazy!

With my first, my hair was still falling out when I got pregnant at 7 months...but it stopped because I got pregnant so I can't say. I'm 5 1/2 months pp currently and it's falling out like crazy!

@ms.janedoe: ugh. me too, then at 3.5mths pp I started shedding all over the place!

At 4.5 months it's been falling out for the last few weeks to a month already. I can't wait for it to stop!

I feel like ti just stopped at 5-6 months- it didn't last that long- but man was it gross to be losing handfuls!

For some reason I assumed that PP hairloss would start right away, so when it didn't, I assumed I was home free. Then I hit 3 months pp, and I seriously thought I was going to be bald before it stopped around 6 months pp. So gross. It was my second least favorite pp symptom right behind the crazy night sweats.

Mine started a little before 3 months PP and is going strong. I have to clean my drain every time I shower and it's usually about the size of a ping pong ball. I didn't see any real improvement in my hair during pregnancy so I thought maybe I'd avoid losing it! Blegh! No such luck. It's thin to begin with so I'm just praying it doesn't become noticable.
