Today's trash day.
I guess the heat's been causing the trash to decompose faster?
Found maggots in the trash.
SO NASTY!
Anyone know how to exterminate these suckers?

I have a gross story. My dad LOVES hardboiled eggs. Loves them. He went to Israel for vacation and was always eating eggs, and would keep them in weird places to save for later. He's a weird guy. Well aparently he forgot about some somewhere (not sure how that got through security.....) and since he always waits a long time to unpack after vacation- maggots in his suitcase. So gross!

ew ew ew ew!!! We have a pretty bad fly problem so usually each summer we find maggots in our trash too. Wagon Sr. takes care of it by just washing the cans out and disinfecting them. We are lucky to have a drain at the bottom of our driveway!

oh I have a bad maggot story too. These guys I went to college with had a rabbit, and they had all these fruitflies all the time, so they gave the rabbit away. Then they felt awful at the end of the year when they moved out because they found all these maggots underneath the dish drying rack in the kitchen. Poor rabbit got ditched for no reason.

I have a maggot story too! I was eating a box of raisins and when I got to the very bottom, there were 3 maggots crawling around! Ew I'm gagging just thinking about this. I was in 3rd grade and TOTALLY remember this. I can't really eat raisins anymore now.

@banana: I saw maggots in my dog's poop when I was 9 and wouldn't eat rice for MONTHS!
DH wanted me to look at the maggots but I refused. -
