I just posted this on FB- I am SO glad I got married before Pinterest. Yes, I could have found some cool ideas. But people actually appreciated all the clearly handmade decorations I'd spent hours on. Not one person said, "oh, I saw that on Pinterest."

Am I the only one who HATES when people say that? It's always dismissive sounding, unless they make a real effort to continue with something like, "I wanted to try it. You did a great job with it." etc. Just because I got an idea from there, doesn't mean it didn't require a lot of effort and creativity of my own. The bees on Weddingbee were never dismissive if we got an idea from there and used it. Pinterest has made crafting seem "easy," even though a lot of people pin a thousand things they never make. But they pinned it, so clearly they *could* make it, and it must be easy because it's on Pinterest!
