How to get permanent marker off of linoleum.
Sigh...I've had such a rough morning with him that the only emotion I could muster was resignation.
By the way, nail polish remover did the trick...

Ooh sorry. No fun.
I spent my Friday night googling Daniel Tiger birthday cakes. But at least that was something I want to make.

@regberadaisy: Yeah...I wish it hadn't happened like 15 minutes before leaving for a week-long vacation! He was writing letters!

@Foodnerd81: I did it - it was easier than I thought! I used mini marshmallows for the eyes and black gel food coloring. The stripes are stretch island fruit strips.

@dagret: that looks awesome! Good call on the stripes- I didn't really want to deal with fondant. What size round pan was that, 9 inches? And did you do two layers or one?
I just showed it to C and she was unenthused. If I go through all this trouble and she doesn't care, I'm going to be pissed.

I'm only 26 weeks this week but i've been googling inducing yourself for days. Come 36 weeks i want to do everything that I can to get this kid out.

@lovehoneybee: I had to do that the other week. My LO got it all over my drivers seat, steering wheel etc and her dress. Got it out of everything but the dress (custom WAHM dress), which also faded and got completely ruined.

bug repellant for infants.
I love the EWG guide to sunscreens, but they don't really have one for bug repellant. I wouldn't use anything, but there is a lake outside daycare (safely fenced off) and we have big problems with West Nile over here.

@Foodnerd81: one layer, 9 inch cake w/2 muffin ears, like the tutorial. My son looooooved this cake. Honestly, it wasn't so difficult -- I baked it one night and decorated it the next night. It might have taken an hour total, and that's because the marshmallow eyes were giving me problems.
