I am trying to think of ideas of things that could be done on a regular basis, with my BFF or possible a larger group (girls night out/in) but stumped on ideas...hoping you guys can help!

Do you want the same thing every week? Because you could do book club, but more than once a month might be too much. Wine tasting - everybody could bring a different bottle of wine (say everybody bring chardonnay this week, or something) and you could all sample them? Go out for dessert at a different restaurant every time? Movies in pyjamas night (at home, not at a theatre)?

I want to try out a stock the freezer type night. Everyone pay $20 or whatever and the host supplies all the ingredients. Spend time chopping up veggies and meat and putting into bags for freezer meals (each person takes home a few meals).

@T.H.O.U.: ok - I love this idea.
To spin on that a baking night. I love baking and it is way more enjoyable for me without the kids underfoot.
Game night!
Bowling
I know a lot of people love those paint and wine nights
Make your own pottery

I organize a get-together with a group of mommy friends once a month. We tend to stick to dinner and drinks, out. However, other activities we've tried or have been meaning to try:
Dessert and a movie, at a theater
Brunch and thrifting
Board games at a home or local brewery
Crafting (we made paper stars around Christmas)
Pedicures or Hot tub/sauna
Concert/Play/Performance of some kind
A class or workshop (a local community art studio hosts neat options)

It's not a hobby but I would totally just get coffee and eat dessert
Do you have any art studios around? We have one in town that does "Pinterest parties" and you work on a project inspired by something the studio comes up with or saw on Pinterest.

Craft club! Each time, you complete a craft of some kind, you could do a year of Christmas crafts or seasonal ones.

Another person that votes for bowling!
My GFs and I did this almost bi-weekly for years! Before we all had kids... then it sort of fell to the wayside but we still try to do this once a year with all our families. It's crazy but fun. Maybe when they kids are older we can start this up again.

I love those paint 'n sip places, and they also have places that will come to your home and bring the painting supplies, you supply the drinks.
However...you can only have so many crappy paintings before you realize you have nothing to really do with them. They're super fun, but I suck at painting, so I have no desire to hang mine anywhere...and so far I have 4.
I suggest checking out Groupon and Living Social for fun discounted activities. A friend and I once did a yoga class at a vineyard followed by a wine tasting, that was really fun.

I joined a weekly knitting group for beginners. It's really fun and I've met some good friends!

One of my cousins does a weekly Bunco game with her group of friends. I've come in as a substitute a couple times when I've been in town and it's always a fun time. They rotate who hosts each week and everyone brings a snack and wine.

@Charm54: knitting is one of those things i Have tried so many times to take up! I think I need a "group" where people can show me what I'm doing wrong. I even took a community class prekids. Maybe one day I will join a group that a local knit store hosts.

@IRunForFun: haha, exactly how I feel on those painting things. I am actually a decent painter, but I don't want to display some random picture of branches in my house!
