What renovation projects are you looking forward to?
We are years away from kitchen and bathroom upgrades...I can't wait!

We are going to be putting laminate flooring in the bedrooms this summer! And replace/repave our front steps, put in a French drain & landscape in the back.
You know, minor projects before the baby is born lol

We need to cut down some trees in the back yard, redo the front walkway and the stairs leading to the front door and change the interior doors.
Right now, we've gutted our laundry room and are doing a to the studs reno. So excited.

Kitchen and master bath, but we met with a realtor earlier this week so we might get out of that and move onto our bigger home without it! woohoo!!!

Kitchen, main floor bathrooms, entry re-do, more landscaping, maybe add built-ins in one room. My list is actually shrinking as we may not be here as long as we originally thought.

We did the kitchen/dining room/living room gut reno before we moved in. Changed all floorings and repainted the whole interior as well.
Future projects in rough order of sequence:
basement renovation (bumped up due to basement flood)
6' stockade Fence around our property
switch inground pool to salt water pool
backyard patio
landscaping
fire pit area
paint exterior
mud / entry room
main & master bathroom renovation
turn family room half bath into a full bath (rinse off for pool)

We completely gutted & renovated the home we bought LY. But there are definitely still projects we need to do this year! I am excited to spend a lot of time sprucing up our yard!

We are getting our entire house painted in the next few weeks + adding crown molding. I'm very, very excited about it. After that, new tile and vanity in the bathroom I hope.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: haha, right? I can't even begin to deal with the complete list!

We plan to get new carpeting soon, yay! At some point I'd also like to retile our fireplace and add wainscoting to our entry. Other than that mostly small stuff like painting

@autumnlove: ha, I have a similar thread scheduled for tonight.
I can't wait to get our basement finished. So then we move DH's office down there. The guest room will be too.

My husband just re-did our mudroom while I was away on my girls' weekend! He did an amazing job. I wish I had a pic to post because I'm so amazed!
Our next reno will be our master bedroom. We have grand dreams of tearing down the wall between our bedroom and our son's room, building a walk-in closet and making our ensuite bigger.

@looch: one at a time right?! I think our project order is French drain, steps & landscape. And maybe the flooring in early spring?!
Our driveway and walkway is omnistone. Whoever installed it didn't support the steps well-- there's a lip thT overhangs?!--and they crumbled. I'm hoping the steps need replaced and not the entire retaining wall/walkway.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: part of our issue is that the house is 50 years old, so we have a lot to address!
We're talking about doing the kitchen, but honestly, I can't live with the level of mess it would take to get it the way I want!
I would like to do the entry this summer, we'll see.

Sigh. Too much. We're in the midst of giving the old master bedroom a more modem look right now. In the near future hopefully a complete overhaul whole east end of the house (kitchen, front entrance, storage/mud room). We want to add another bedroom eventually and expand the living room. I still wish we could just build a new house but DH isn't keen on mortgages and debt.

We're putting an offer in on a house today, so if that goes well, we'll be knocking out a wall between the kitchen and living room, covering up the wood paneling in the dining room, updating the kitchen, closing off the access to the laundry room through the kitchen, putting in a small pantry, doing something about the laminate flooring in the dining room, putting in a new vanity in the master bath (they updated the whole bathroom and then left the original very old/ratty vanity), and re-opening the door to the master from the dining room (which sounds weird but it's either that or you can only access it through the kitchen via laundry room, or go through another bedroom and the bathroom they share). We're not sure if we'll do it all right away, before we move in, so we don't have to live with it, or just do it in stages. Also, in the long term we'd probably like to add a garage instead of the carport and put in wood fencing in the back.

We really need new windows if that counts, but the estimates we got were 15-20k, yeah no that will be a while. We have about 25 windows! We would also like to do the basement and kitchen. Again, a long time from now.

We are putting in new flooring in the living and dining rooms this weekend! Next on the list is painting a few rooms (my least favourite thing in the world), fixing our wood-burning fireplace, and eventually, ripping out the kitchen and putting in a new one. So much to do, not ever enough money to do it all! Lol

@Torchwood: Oh how exciting! Good luck!
This is fun seeing what others are up too -- gives me good ideas for what we need to do next!
We're finishing some garage storage so we can clear out the nursery to get ready for baby, so those are the most pressing projects. Then I'd like to spruce up my laundry area in the garage. Eventually I'd like to paint the exterior of the house, replace the driveway/walkway with pavers, redo our sideyard, and redo our guest bathroom (right now it just has a tub which is awkward when guests stay over).
@PermaStudent: Ditto re not enough time or money!
