What gear could you have not lived without for #2?
Did you splurge on anything new?
I think I really want a play yard and video monitors for both kids rooms.
I'll splurge on some pink A+A blankets

We're planning on getting a new infant carseat. We don't like the one we had with DS and will keep that as our spare in grandparents' car/house.
We'll definitely be buying new A&A blankets/swaddles as DS still uses his (as his loveys).
We have a second camera on hand from when we traveled for the new baby's room. But, we'll probably invest in a diaper pail (never did with DS). And maybe a rock'n'play, but probably not.
As far as double strollers, I think we're going to wait to purchase after baby is here. I don't see an immediate need for a double, then we'll be heading into winter season. And DS is already tired of stroller most times. We may invest in a double umbrella next year!

The swing and beco!!! My baby would never sleep if not for the swing the first 4 months. My toddler would never have been fed without the Beco!

I'm planning on getting a baby K'tan, Tula carrier, an extra camera for the video monitor. That's about it. I'm not planning on buying much more than that other than bottle nipples and pacis.

The only new thing I have bought so far is a set of a&a swaddles because a few from round 1 got ruined. Well, and new pacifiers, and crib sheets since LO 1 is still in his crib. Nothing else so far, although I'd splurge on a new carrier if I could.

@cmomma17: Ohh, I forgot about crib sheets. LO's crib sheets have seen better days. He may be transferring to a twin bed before we move, so new crib sheets would be good for this upcoming LO.

@mrsjyw: we are going to get an infacnt seat bc with G we used a convertible from birth! I can't imagine wrangling baby and toddler! We are going to skip the double and get an umbrella - I figure I'll wear the babyand stroller the toddler.
@regberadaisy: @cascademom: @cmomma17: I feel like a carrier is going to be essential this time! I have a ring sling and a beco that I am looking forward to using again!

@littlebittyhouse: I agree about the carrier with a toddler in tow. It's why I'm willing to spend the money on a Tula to get something comfortable for all of the walking, etc. we're going to be doing with this LO in tow with LO #1.

@cascademom: I really want a Tula but am going to wait until this babe is a little older - I really want a toddler tula! I loved the Beco Soleil for tiny babes!

@littlebittyhouse: With our LO as a toddler, we encouraged walking a lot. So a toddler Tula may not suit our needs. For the first year plus, the Tula will be perfect for our needs.

New stroller (sit and stand style but my older will be 4) is already bought, new diaper ( cloth and girlie) bought used from friend, clothes (getting hand me downed from a variety of sources), arms reach co sleeper (cause I can't put baby in bed with us and brother) off craigslist. We have two baby buckets to use and an extra convertible if we need it. We may invest in the new safety first 50# rear facing seat coming out in April as well.
We have a tula toddler for brother so his old beco will be for baby. We have two swings and two full size pack and plays already. Our biggest problem is going to be space for everything .

We splurged on a Bugaboo for LO2, we also had to buy girl clothes and I bought her her own set of AA swaddles.

We have two girls, same season. The only things I've purchased for DD2 is new pacifiers, a couple NB sleepers (she was smaller), and another convertible car seat.
We've been able to reuse just about everything.
I have started spending more on DD1's clothes and shoes because now I can for sure divide cost per wear by two.

We just got a double stroller (the Joovy Caboose Too) as it was on sale on Amazon.
We're also going to get:
New (double) monitor
A new wrap or Tula
New bottle nipples and pacis
New sound machine and crib soother (DS1 still uses his)
And, I'm ashamed to admit it, a Brezza Formula (Keurig-like) thing. DH insists on having one.

When we have #2 I want to get a new bassinet (possibly this one http://amzn.com/B00JXN54DI) and a Sollybaby wrap.

Another monitor (ours just crapped out)
More A+A blankets
Clothes for summer
Sleep Sheep
Possibly a second crib. DS is still really good in his, so I'm hesitant to take him out!

The only things I bought for DD2:
a new carrier (well it was used but new to me)
a new diaper bag - sold my other one, hated it.
new A&A blankets
new nipples, pacifiers, and a couple new bottles
New sheets, white onesies, burpcloths
Otherwise I'll get new clothes when I know what size she is and what won't work of DD1.

@ShootingStar: Totally forgot - we are looking at that same bassinet! We used a pack n play with DS1 in our bedroom, but I really wanted a nice bassinet!

a second crib
a buggy board for the stroller (I'm reeeaallly trying to avoid a giant double stroller
a dual view video monitor
9 months in, I think we need a pack 'n' play to keep LO2 safe from LO1 (and vice versa) - now that she's mobile I need to be able to quickly separate them so I can cook, use the bathroom by myself, etc.

@ValentineMommy: I like the fact that it seems to move easily, and the height is adjustable, but I'm not 100% sold because I want something that side-cars to the bed for easier feeding at night. The Chicco Next 2 Me (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chicco-Next-Me-Dove-Grey/dp/B00HHPLYHE) would be perfect, but they don't seem to sell it in the US.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@ShootingStar: Have you seen the Halo one in the store? While the side doesn't totally come down, it isn't totally hard on the side either, you can kind of squish it down so you can get the baby out for feedings. Not sure how easy that is in actual use though.
coconut / 8472 posts
@ValentineMommy: No, I've only seen it online. Maybe if I see it in person that will convince me. I basically want to mash the maneuverability and height adjustment of it with an arms reach co-sleeper, because I like how well those side car to the bed. But then they're kind of stuck.

@ShootingStar: Check it out in the store! I was surprised how you could flex the edge of it. Here's a video that shows it a little bit:

Very, very little. I'm really excited to know just how little you really need. We might go ahead and buy an arms reach cosleeper for this one. I guess we'll buy another dresser for her clothing. I might buy myself another moby wrap, because I love them. I'll eventually buy a new stroller because mine is so wrecked and old. That's about it, though. All the clothing and cloth diapers will work, same gender and same season. Still have my boobs. That's about it.
