I needed a double stroller solution (we have an ub vista so the rumble seat and ride on board). Some things were worn out or I wanted new- changing pad liners, burp clothes. I got a new four pack of a&a swaddle blankets because my toddler still uses hers. And we got a new video monitor set up instead of just getting a second camera for the crappy one we already had. I also bought some clothes but mostly because they were opposite seasons but even that wasn't totally necessary.

@pastemoo: the lotus bed is a travel crib, like a pack n play (?) I believe? I just need a place to set baby while downstairs most of the day.

On my list, I have:
Nursery furniture
New bed sheets
New hooded towels
Buggy board
New baby carrier
New muslins
Extra camera for monitor
Newborn dummies (pacis)
Newborn nappies
Formula for hospital bag (just in case)
Cot top changer
Bottle brush

I want:
Double stroller
Maybe a co sleeper thingy?

Need:
new crib (no way DS is going to a bed anytime soon. He's crazy!)
New furniture for baby room
Clothes if this babe is a girl
Newborn insert for ergo

Surprised so many want a double stroller. My kid refused stroller since age 2, but maybe your littles are closer...

@pastemoo: I haven't looked at all! I used a rock n play for my son and I did really like it. But my friend has one that's right in the bed and she loves it. I'll have to ask her what kind it is.

I'm only 14 weeks so I've got time

We got a double stroller, white noise machine, monitor, new bibs and spit cloths, new pump (free) some new bottles and nipples and pacis, lots of diapers and wipes, few new outfits because of season, new mattress cover and sheets, ergo infant insert

We bought another convertible car seat, some new pacifiers, diapers, wipes, a double stroller, and that's it.
We needed the double. DD1 was a runner and there were many times I needed her to be restrained while my hands were full with the baby (nursing or diaper changing mostly). My plan was to baby wear #2 and push #1 but it just didn't work like out like that and then I got pregnant again at four months pp and have worn #2 far less than I expected.

Mostly just following, but I'll contribute a few that we are adding!

I got a bassinet for this one, had a rock n play for c, which I loved but thought transition to crib might be easier with a bassinet
Had the 2013/2014 vista and was very generously gifted a new 2015 one for Christmas, with the intention to use it as a double stroller, so I just need to sell the old one and buy the extra seat, etc..
Not immediate, but will need a second convertible car seat
Purchased some new blankets that were adorable and I felt like we should have
Want a new sound machine, our current one is getting rattley sounding

I think that's mostly it... Anything else we buy will be more wants than needs

Eta: I'm having another boy, and they'll be just under 2 yrs apart

@travellingbee: you are lucky! My kid hasn't used hers, as I said- since turning 2. She loves to walk, but golly it would be easier to strap her in, and safe!

@Foodnerd81: We live in the city too and regularly walk a couple miles a day. She's always had a lot of energy! I would love to strap her in, she wouldn't go for it.

@Greentea: we are lucky then that my 2 yo still likes the stroller! She even likes the rumble seat, since we call it her "special big sister seat". She is soooooo slow walking that we would never get anywhere if she didn't ride in it.

We didn't get much. A rock n play because we never had one and the new baby let us put him down (LO 1 never did). A few pacifiers. A few disposables for the beginning (then we switched to cloth). We used this same method to attached the crib to our bed for the beginning and it worked great!

this is a helpful thread for me.

#1 is a boy and he will be 22 mo when #2 girl is here.

I need:

-disposable diapers and wipes (we mostly cloth but still need disposables some times)

-a couple more cloth diaper covers

-glider (didn't have one for #1 and regretted it)

-baby monitor (never had one for #1 but since they will eventually share a room I want one for sure)

-double stroller (we walk a lot)

-clothes (i could reuse boy clothes for girl but getting some hand-me-down girl clothes- so thankful)

-muslin blankets (#1 still is still attached to his)

-breastmilk storage bags just in case (never needed with #1)

-disposable nursing pads just in case (i used cloth diapers at first when very leaky then used reusable cloth nursing pads)

Extras I want: nursing necklaces, cute bibs, headbands/girly accessories, rock n play (friend is letting me borrow), ergo infant insert,

@mrs.kiwi: some of my nursing pads came with samples of breastmilk storage bags- the lansinoh ones I think. Just FYI.

LO2 is coming when DS will be 20 months old so we still have a lot of baby gear to reuse, but unfortunately we will probably need another crib. Someone gave us a beautiful bassinet so I will probably use that to start and then use the PNP + mattress we already have for a while and see if we can get away with that for a while, since LO2 will be our last. I'm sorta hoping our son will stay in his crib for a long time so I'm not super against buying another crib but we'll try to do without one for a while.

We will reuse his infant seat but will need another convertible eventually. We have a bouncer and RNP, but may pick up a used swing if our second looks like a swing person. We have a Boba wrap and Ergo360 ready of this baby tolerates being worn unlike big bro. Might get the rumble board for our UB Cruz but we are also thinking about the UB G-link as a double if baby isn't into being worn.

If it's a boy we have plenty of clothes. They will be born 3.5 months apart on the calendar so much of the clothing will be useable. If it's a girl we will have an avalanche of clothes sent to us because it will be the first girl grandkid and both grandmas are shoppers and love frilly things.

We will need new hooded towels (we love the PBK beach wraps for DS), diapers and wipes, an assortment of pacis to try out (DS didn't take any), and some new nipples and pump tubing/storage bottles. Lansinoh disposable nursing pads, new nursing tanks and pj bottoms for me to live in. Another humidifier and Marpac Dohm. Another set of blackout curtains.

Mostly the biggest work is going to be rearranging the entire house. We are planning to turn DH's office into a playroom, furnish our living room (currently the play space), move DH's office stuff into our master, and then turning the guest room into the new baby's room. I'm exhausted thinking about it.
