What kind of gemstone earring would you get for a 11/12 year old? Her birthstone is a citrine but looking for other options as well.

I feel like sapphires are classics that she'd wear for a long time. My grandmother gave me a pair of sapphire studs when I was about that age that I still wear occasionally. She also gave me pearl earrings with little rubies around them and I wear those all the time.

Yeah I would say her favorite color. I always like amythest since purple is my favorite. Bonus, they aren't as pricey as other gemstones. I bet a lot of tween girls would like pink sapphires too.

I go with sapphires or rubies. I love the suggestion of pink sapphires.

I love birthstones, and since she loves yellow hers sounds like it works. Not sure of your budget, but Laurie Sarah has nice stuff.
