Exclusive pumpers.......
DS has FINALLY started sleeping for longer stretches (4.5, 5, or 6 hours followed by a shorter sleep stretch). I pump whenever I get up with him at night, but never wake up just to pump. So, last night he slept about 6.5 hours so I went about 7 hours between pumps! I pump far more than he can drink (I freeze about 15 oz a day...he drinks about 23). And, he's 9.5 wks so I figure my supply won't take a huge hit from going longer between pumps at night. I can't bear to deprive myself of blessed sleep! I figure that BF moms don't wake their babies up to feed when their babies start sleeping longer stretches, so why should I?
Do you wake up to pump? Why?
The first time my son slept through the night (6 hours), I woke up with clogged ducts which turned to mastitis. So I decided I would wake up in the middle of the night to pump, even if he slept through the night!
